Truth about Weight Loss, Muscle Gains, Weight Maintenance


Many of you might have seen this on Instagram yesterday but I always feel the need to share this again. I also shared on both my Facebook pages, personal and Truth2beingfit. Too many are out there paying tons of money for quick fixes that leave them frustrated, mad, depressed, lost, giving up PLUS DOWN TOO MANY DOLLARS!

This is what I wrote on my feed:

So, I know many don’t want to accept this but the food you eat is HUGE in losing weight, gaining muscle, maintaining with age.


No, workouts aren’t easy for many but nothing is going to work without the right nutrition plan in place.

We’re all different. There are many ways to eat healthy but you must have the food right or results just will not happen.

I have lived my weight loss over 40 years. I made many mistakes. I learned thru all the decades & thru perimenopause into menopause. I know of what I speak! 🙂 Trust me from truth2beingfit.


AND EVEN BIGGER – DON’T CHEAT YOURSELF! YOUR BODY DOES KEEP AN ACCURATE JOURNAL OF WHAT YOU EAT NO MATTER WHAT YOU WRITE DOWN!!! I know from experience. I was there back when. Even now there are times when I want to fool myself but the clothes & the scale tell me that my head journal is not as smart as my body journal! 🙂

Heck yes, I know it is hard!!! I have been at this since my teen years! I lost the big portion of my weight then but had to learn all thru the years how to do this right. Even now, always learning! Every decade, every year, every 6 months now brings a new challenge.

YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!! Do what works for you. You don’t have to be as muscular or as lean as I am BUT whatever you are working towards for YOU, the food has to be a large part of that process. There are many ways to get it done. As I always say, there is no one way or the highway BUT you have to find a way to embrace a better eating lifestyle to reach your own personal goals.
