This is my own personal cause & for those that don't have one, they may want to think about donating to one of the Sarcoma
Foundations below. My mother passed away from a rare form of cancer called Lipsarcoma. It is one of about 50 subtypes of sarcomas that affect all age groups from the youngest to the oldest. It is a
"a cancer that begins in the muscle, fat, fibrous tissue, blood vessels, or other supporting tissue of the body". There is no cure & funding is low because of its rarity. As some of you may know,
the rarer the form of cancer, the less money that is usually allocated to it by the larger organizations or the NIH (National Health Institute) as well as fewer people donate because they just don't
know about it. This cancer just keeps coming back, grows back where it already was & spreads to other areas as well. You can learn more about it at these links.

Gratitude Monday, Trying & Random Acts of Kindness
Monday February 13, 2012
Welcome to Gratitude Monday. Each Monday, stop by & comment on what you are grateful for & how it will impact you to live a healthier life going forward. How it impacts you does not have to be food or exercise related. It can be in any way, shape or form! If you just want to write a grateful comment & nothing else, that is fine too. If your comment is the same as another one, so be it. Everything goes here!
I am grateful today that I just keep trying! Sometimes it is hard to get the NO's so much. Yes, there have been times when I stopped trying for a while & then others when I just kept trying.... NOW, I am at that point of always trying. I may get down at times, we all do, but I just lift myself back up & move forward.
Saying that, I do have some thoughts of stepping back - not to "not try" but just putting it on a back burner for now so I can focus on a job search that actually makes me some money. I love blogging & all the wonderful people out here BUT bills do have to be paid & I am not getting any younger! It is very hard at my age to make up some of that money lost in the crash a few years ago. As we all know, they can't say age discrimination but it is out there...
I certainly will not disappear nor will I stop & not tell you guys. Just have to do what I have to do right now so thinking about that & mulling it over. More to come on this but I may not post as much OR post a couple more in depth ones & maybe just motivational quotes or pics on other days. Just not sure yet....
Grateful for just being alive & moving! Also grateful for a really nice compliment while I was running yesterday morn from a regular! Always nice to get random acts of kindness! Check this link out from Average Moms Wear Capes.
How are you doing & what are you thankful for today?

I can totally relate. When I went back to work a year and a half ago, my blogging life was never the same. Now I try to do a short post 5 days a week and keep up with a select few favorite blogs. Good luck with your job hunt! Reply to this

I hear you on the job thing. It is so stressful knowing you need to get out there and get a job but the obstacles can be overwhelming and you have a really nice community and job right here! I wish you the best, I haven't really mastered job finding or securing myself.
I am grateful for my strength, compassion, and patience. I am grateful my higher mileage car keeps working and that my house is secure. I am grateful for friends, family, enjoyable blogs, and e-mail.
Have a great week all. I hope you are able to find a good solution for you. I understand that you have much to consider between your blog love and the financial realities. Reply to this

I'm feeling particulary grateful for music this morning, because I'm off to the gym and i can't work out without it!
And stepping back from my blog was the best decision I ever made! I had created all kinds of imaginary demands on myself and lost the fun in the process. Good luck with whatever you decide to do! Reply to this
