This is my own personal cause & for those that don't have one, they may want to think about donating to one of the Sarcoma
Foundations below. My mother passed away from a rare form of cancer called Lipsarcoma. It is one of about 50 subtypes of sarcomas that affect all age groups from the youngest to the oldest. It is a
"a cancer that begins in the muscle, fat, fibrous tissue, blood vessels, or other supporting tissue of the body". There is no cure & funding is low because of its rarity. As some of you may know,
the rarer the form of cancer, the less money that is usually allocated to it by the larger organizations or the NIH (National Health Institute) as well as fewer people donate because they just don't
know about it. This cancer just keeps coming back, grows back where it already was & spreads to other areas as well. You can learn more about it at these links.

I FitFluential, Pinterest,Twitter, FB! Friday the 13th!
Friday January 13, 2012
Happy Friday the 13th! Anyone superstitious about this day out there? I am not but I was when I was a kid. I avoided the cracks on the sidewalks, black cats, ladders & more!
Anyway, I have to share that this social media has taken control of me. OH NO!!!!!!!! I was just your typical blog & FB lady until FitFluential came into my life! Recall that I am now aFitFluential ambassador!!!! So, to keep up & be part of this great community, I have joined it all or at least these ones for now!
If you want to be a FitFluential Ambassador or just an enthusiast or blogger, check out their site here & sign up! They also have a FB page. Just now started - a FB Running group page, a FB Food group page and a FB Parents page (men & women)!
Ah, Twitter! Craziness! I wake up to tweets that came to my phone at all hours of the night! If you have not followed me yet OR I am not following you, you can follow me at @truth2beingfit. I think THIS will get you to me or I have a link on my green sidebar now. I am working on tweeting more but it takes time & I have to get better with doing it from my phone. I still have yet to figure out how to tweet a pic either form my computer or my phone!
Pinterest - OK, I resisted at first but I so love this site! I only have 1 board right now, MotivationHealthFitness, but I hope to do more. For me, this is addicting! Honestly, the 2nd night I started it, I dreamed all night about the things I was pinning & pinned! Now that is scary!!!! I must be careful - very careful!!!!
So, do tell, comment on what you are doing in social media! Anybody want to confess to addictions to Pinterest, FB or Twitter .. or any other social media site? I know there is tumbler but have not gone there yet!
PS: Don't forget about my HOT GIVEAWAY from yesterday!

Social media addict here. I believe it is fast food of human relationships. It is fun, it is filling, very rarely nutritious. FB does not take that much time and it's easy to do in-between things. Blogging on the other hand can be very time consuming. I don't do Twitter (yet). Reply to this

One more thought. I believe that what we feed our brains is as important. if not more, as what we feed our bodies. Not all choices on the social media menu are bad. It is a matter of choice of what we do with it. Through my fb friends I found some interesting reads, good music, inspiring video clips. I have cut back ALOT! I found it becoming overwhelming to keep up with my real life. I like to read certain blogs on the weekends and during the week FB and my online Group that is it. Twitter makes my head spin and I do not care for it at all. Its good to get your message out though and to find other bloggers if you want to read more.
Congrats on your Ambassador role! I don't quite understand it yet, but I am sure I will. Reply to this

My main social media outlet is Facebook. I keep in touch with many people that way and have re-connected with old friends. I do enjoy it, but need to try to limit my time there. What's difficult is I work at my computer and my mind will wander off while I'm creating something so I'll hop over to Facebook and before I know it, I've wasted quite a bit of time!
Pinterest is way cool for ideas, recipes, categorizing, planning etc. I used it a lot when I was homeschooling!
Twitter..well..for the LIFE of me, I cannot seem to wrap my brain around that one so I just won't even try.

I really like Pinterest now. I check a couple of times during the day when I take a break from work. Reply to this
