Gratitude Monday & Grateful

Monday December 26, 2011

Our hosts - youngest daughter & her hubby.

Welcome to Gratitude Monday. Each Monday, stop by & comment on what you are grateful for & how it will impact you to live a healthier life going forward. How it impacts you does not have to be food or exercise related. It can be in any way, shape or form! If you just want to write a grateful comment & nothing else, that is fine too. If your comment is the same as another one, so be it. Everything goes here!

Today, just grateful for a wonderful weekend celebrating my hubby's birthday & the holidays with the youngest stepdaughter/hubby who still live here in CA. It can be hard with so many family members no longer alive & the 2 older daughters/hubbies & grandkids in Idaho but we are thankful to enjoy with those that are nearby. I also had a great run outside Christmas day with a beautiful sunrise!

Some pics for your enjoyment!

The youngest daughter/hubby's tree day & night with the lights on - pretty!

The stockings were all hung with care! They tried to "scare" us with the little stocking as a joke since they do not have kids yet.... or ever, we don't know!

The table setting - beautiful!

The prime rib - not my thing but a hit with everyone else.

Now for some pics of the grandkids & others in Idaho - We MISS them!

How was your holiday? Want to share?

I am grateful for the time off I had the last 5 days. I really needed to be away from work a bit. It has been very stressful, so I feel reprieved.

How ungrateful do I sound today to say I am most grateful that for me the holiday celebrations end tonight?! My house will soon be filled with the lingering smell of oil from latke frying.

Merry Christmas Jody! I am thankful for the holiday time with my family. As my parents get older, you really start to realize they won't be around forever.

Looks like a wonderful day, we had a quiet but yet lovely celebration. Talked to my parents on the phone in the afternoon and that was fun too,

Hey Jody! I enjoyed your Christmas pics! And although I'm not an eater of red meat, that prime rib looks delicious. Whoops!

Josie - not my thing either. I brought my own food - what else is new with me. Family is used to me!
