Gingerbread Protein Pancakes; Travel Gadgets

I saw this recipe in my fitlosophy newsletter & thought I should share especially this time of year! It is easy to change it up if you want a bit more protein & less carbs OR the flavor profile to suit your taste buds!
Gingerbread Protein Pancakes - recipe serves 1
Ingredients
3 egg whites
1 whole egg
1/2 cup whole oats
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon pinch each of nutmeg, ground cloves, and allspice
1/ 4 cup sugar-free syrup
- mix 1st 6 ingredients in blender until smooth
- spray nonstick skillet w/ pam, bring to medium-heat
- pour pancake mixture onto the pans and wait for bubbles to come through and the edges to brown
- flip and cook other side until golden brown
- top with sugar-free syrup and enjoy!
nutrients per serving: 333 cals, 22g protein, 8g fat, 44g carbs and 6g of sugar

Those sound yummy! The only gingerbread recipe I have is for gingerbread cookies, which definitely do not fit in a healthy blog like yours!!

So complicated. Looks good though. My pancake recipe is this: 6 egg whites, 1/2 cup of oats. The end. I actually do this regularly and have for years. A hint of Carrie's sugar free syrup and I'm good to go. Have a good weekend Jody!

You know what would be good to those pancakes would be a teaspoon of molasses to really amp the gingerbread flavor!

Lila, thank you so much for stopping by!!! I tend to add protein powder to foods like this in place of flour or something else. At 54, I have that age weight gain nipping at me so I have really had to play around with my food choices!
