Exercise Tools Under $20; Triceps Workouts!

Before I start, I have to say a very HAPPY HAPPY 40th bday to my son-in-law!!! He is the hubby of the oldest stepdaughter & a GREAT GUY! Wish we could be there to celebrate with you!
On to regular programming:
OK, get your minds out of the gutter when you look at that first pic!
I am continuing from Tuesday with some great American Council on Exercise, ACE, workout ideas.
This SHORT video, 1:40 minutes, has 4 great little tools you can use at home or anywhere to spice up the workout. I especially love the last one which is fun for the kiddos too!!!! GREAT FOR GIFTS TOO!!!!!
HERE IS THE LINK TO THE VIDEO - Remember, less than 2 minutes so you can watch it now!
FYI, the items in the video are:
1. Balance Pod- Google to find these everywhere!
2. Yoga Block - Personally, I could use these just as part of my flexibility/stretching routine!
3. Small Weighted Balls filled with sand: These are a great way to add a little intensity & "fun".
4. Reaction Ball - this one looks like FUN!!! If you Google it, you can find them everywhere!
While I am at it, let me share the ACE link for triceps extension with tubing. I know you all like to work the back of your arms to avoid that "waving"!
Here is a link for a bunch of triceps exercises with the Rubberbanditz bands. Of course if you have your own bands at home, just modify with them!
Here is a link from Oxygen Magazine for more triceps work!!! You can change these up by using dumbbells instead of barbells or a different cable attachment or hand placement. Just more to add to your "change it up" arsenal!
Want to share any inexpensive items you use to energize your workouts? I already mentioned some items I use in a previous post although some are more than $20.

Love those feet gadgets!

YES Anne - I forgot to mention to Julie that I use towels on the aerobic room floor to do my sliding moves!

How about those little frisbee/disc things? I remember seeing those at the studio and then one day my trainer had me stand on them and do these side lunges...don't underestimate a little piece of plastic!

Is there an ACE reccomended gadget to get the dog hair off my computer keyoard...? If so, THAT's what I want for the holidays.
I think anything that contriubutes to balance is a good thing. Balkance is the most important fitness virtue to me.
As for the trcieps, nothing -- NOTHING feels better than sore triceps.

I like stretchy bands. They are good when doing Pilates or stretches for a little extra. Plus they travel well!

Lori - me too. I love my Rubberbanditz & other bands I have!!!

My attitude is my biggest workout energizer. If I leave it at home, I'm sunk. And grouchy.

Cammy - YES to that!

The reaction ball is so cool! I want one! I have a pretty good sized area in my basement where I workout and think I could benefit from doing some of the moves she demonstrated on the video. Thanks for sharing Jody!
