EASY Boneless Country Style BBQ Pork Ribs

TGIF Friday November 4, 2011

The pic above is NOT the ones I made BUT they looked just like that! I am proud of myself because I found a recipe & then changed it for what my hubby wanted & he liked them!!!!

Boneless Country Style Pork Ribs

This was the original recipe for ribs that were NOT barbecue flavored. I forgot to get the link since I printed it out to make it so sorry! I could not find it again - DOH!

Ingredients:
6 oz Boneless Country Style Ribs
1 tsp each: salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder
1 cup water
1 tbsp Olive Oil

Directions - 2 to 3 servings:

Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet on medium heat. Mix together spices & rub over ribs. Add to skillet, searing meat on both sides to seal in the juices. When both sides are a nice medium brown, add the water, cover & let simmer for 45 minutes to an hour. Remove from water, slice & enjoy!

So, my hubby wanted BBQ ribs. Not knowing how to cook, I decided to take this recipe & just use my healthier Trader Joe's BBQ sauce & mix it with the cup of water. I used a bit more than a cup to give some extra BBQ flavor. My ribs cooked in the 45 minutes but you all should check since stoves are different!

AND... THEY WERE SO TENDER which my hubby loved since I tend to dry out everything, especially pork chops!

This recipe is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy & think of all the different ways you could change it up with seasoning & liquid!

Care to pass on your own take of this recipe?
