Gratitude Monday & the Anniversary!
Thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments to my Saturday anniversary post!

Welcome to Gratitude Monday. Each Monday, stop by & comment on what you are grateful for & how it will impact you to live a healthier life going forward. How it impacts you does not have to be food or exercise related. It can be in any way, shape or form! If you just want to write a grateful comment & nothing else, that is fine too. If your comment is the same as another one, so be it. Everything goes here!
Today I am grateful for a wonderful weekend with the hubby! We celebrated 28 years of marriage on Saturday PLUS we met 2 years prior to that so it is over 30 years together!!!! If you missed my post Saturday with wedding pics, just click THIS LINK. A guy at the card shop we were at thought we were cute goofing off together & told us so & did not even know it was our anniversary!
Here are a couple of the desserts on the table. Chocolate is not my fav thing so I had my cookies at other times! There was an apple crisp dessert that I got a bite of but by the time I was taking pics of the desserts which you can see are already being eaten, well, the apple one was half way demolished! I will not say who at the table was eating it but it might have been my son-in-law!
Hubby's dessert

Youngest stepdaughter's brownie dessert & her bicep!

What is up with you today? Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
PS: Tomorrow is World Menopause Day! From my friends at Shmirshky - "A party is usually not associated with menopause. Yet, Ellen Sarver Dolgen is encouraging women to meet and share their perimenopause and menopause experiences – which she calls PM&M – at a Shmirshky party. ‘It’s my version of an old-fashioned Tupperware party,” said Dolgen, whose motto is “reaching out is IN. Suffering in silence is OUT. When we share, we become better advocates for ourselves,” she said. “You can find hormone happiness if you find the right people; a PM&M specialist to help you.” From Jody - I will be reviewing her newest book at the end of the month & preview- GREAT!

I *LOVE* the idea of Gratitude Monday (and I cracked up about the thought of a Menopause Party, wahaha!)
I am SO grateful today for friends who inspire me and keep me on the straight and narrow, and for a body that works so well in spite of how I had pushed and neglected it through the years!
I followed you over from South Beach Steve's when I read your comment about maintaining. Been wondering a LOT about that as I (once again) can see my goal weight on the horizon. I've never been able to maintain, and I fear that I'm always only going to make it work if I have a definite goal to work towards, something to ACHIEVE. I might need help, LOL!

I am grateful for weekends and the time they allow for me to enjoy my husband, home and doggie. The time it allows me to rest and relax from work!

I'm grateful that there are some folks like you who don't like chocolate so there's more for me!!
Glad the whole weekend was fun, I think once you pass 20 years anniversaries should last at least a week.

Congratulations Jody. Loved seeing the wedding photos and you were stunning! Your dress, flowers and the cake were beautiful.
I am grateful for good friends. We got to spend Sunday afternoon with 3 other couples that we are very close with. It was a fun afternoon sitting outside enjoying great conversation, good food and a lovely day!
