Skinny ChocChip Cookie & Skinny Apple Crisp
Single Serving Skinny Chocolate Chip Recipe

Low Calorie Apple Crisp Recipe
It is that time of year so I had to share She-Fit's low calorie Apple Crisp! YUM!!!! BUT, I have also been wanting to share her 1 serving skinny chocolate chip cookie too because I know those are the fav cookies of many. I am not a fan of chocolate chip - I have my other cookie loves BUT this is for all you readers out there! A nice way to have one but not have so many around that you eat too many!
Instead of putting the recipe here, I gave you the link so you can read her whole post AND look at her other recipes. She has lots of great ones!!!
I want to find a way to add protein powder to the apple crisp recipe. Any help or suggestions from my readers?
Thx again to She-Fit!
PS: Don't miss my post tomorrow - it is my 28th wedding anniversary!

Im off for a work trip

My favorite cookie!!
I had a friend that used to add rice crispies to the c.c. cookies she made for a nice alternative.

Dr. J, that sounds YUM!

To add protein, sub 1 tablespoon of the wheat flour with protein powder.
Another option would be to use quinoa flakes as part of the oatmeal in the topping. If you can find them.

LOL I had both of these recipes bookmarked, but I let the skinny cookie go when I found out the smaller bakery cookies only had 140 calories.

Cammy, you are so funny! Yes, I might change a couple things on the apple crisp but that is just me. I need others to give me the basic recipe like Ruth & Lori & then I modify for me. Let me know what you do!

I just can't bake with splenda - working in a lab has put a mental block in the way of using it. It's OK in coffee in those little packets, but I feel like I'm weighing out chemical for a reagent in teh lab (and after all isn't cooking one big experiment!

Goesomin, what about using stevia instead.. I have both in the house and I have liquid & powder stevia. Thx as always for your science knowledge!

I love hot apple desserts like crisp and pie. But if I want that now, I just cut apples, add cinnamon and maybe a bit of splenda, and microwave. Or, warm up some homemade applesauce

Karen, great idea! On the apple crisp, I would be afraid I would eat it all so that is why I want to add some protein powder to it!

I don't use protein powders yet. Will consider adding them to the diet when the intensity of my workouts increases.
Thanks for your feedback. I will keep an open mind on the time to work out and the diet as well.

Thanks for sharing the recipes! I think it would taste really great mixing the apples with a vanilla protein powder with cinnamon and brown sugar. Let me know how it goes if you end up trying something.
