No Guilt Ice Cream!

Thursday September 15, 2011

First, don't forget my Monday GIVEAWAY post. Those with hormone issues may forget about this reminder by the time you walk away from the computer! You have 6 ways to enter BUT you can chose whichever ways you want to enter. You don't have to do them all. A great read & important subject for all, women & men alike. People really have no idea what it is like till they go thru this! Enter for you, your hubby, your loved ones, your friends!

WHY DID I TRY THIS????? I have mentioned in the past that I can't do dairy so I don't eat ice cream. I know for many, ice cream "is the bomb".. or is that an outdated saying now.

Anyway, I saw a segment on Arctic Zero last week & remembered that I had heard about this product ages ago but never tried it.

So, I was at my local Sprouts & low & behold, there it was PLUS in one of my fav flavors, coffee! I checked out the stats & saw that I could not only eat it BUT live with it. I was fine with the ingredients. As I have said many times, I eat pretty dang clean but I don't try to be perfect! You can check out the stats HERE.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!!! I have only eaten 1/2 of the container so far & have had it for a week so pretty darn good! I think for me, since I like my protein PB chocolate cookies so much, it is easier to not eat it all at once.... and I am good at portion control! I will be trying the vanilla-maple & the chocolate PB in the future! Hmmm, that flavor would go good with my protein PB chocolate cookies!

Best news - the hubby who likes to say "it tastes healthy" to a lot of my creations said this stuff was great! Tasted like good ole ice cream to him! I got him the chocolate flavor.

Good news for those that can't portion control: The ice cream does get super hard in the freezer, or at least my old fridge, so I have to take it out & let it sit on the counter for about 15 minutes to let it get soft enough to eat. This is good for those of you that want to get in the freezer & eat it all the time - at least in my experience, NOPE! I even tried taking a knife to it right out of the freezer & ended up flipping a piece of it across the kitchen!  Isn't there some kind of 5 second rule!

Have your tried this product? Are you like me & in love OR is it too hard to keep it in the house cause it is so good???

I have not tried it nor will I because it would inflame the sugar beast inside of me and I couldn't control how much I ate of it. I have finally stopped eating WW snack every night since doing the 17DD and its helped me with the desire to eat and eat.

I wouldn't keep it in the house. BUT, if I am really craving something, this would be a great alternative to a trip to the fro-yo store where I add on all sorts of candy-like toppings

This sounds good. I actually like going out for ice cream better than having it at home. Although I do have to say that we often have ice cream in the freezer because John makes it! I just rarely eat it for some reason.

Lori - I might be keeping this stuff in the house now! I just could not do it before cause don't do dairy & I actually like the make up vs. frozen yogurt for me... Going out is fun though!

So I don't normally do ice cream either since the ingredients list usually doesn't meet my standards but holy cow, even I couldn't find anything wrong with this! I'm kind of in shock. Even better? The store down teh street from me apparently sells it. Totally going to get some - thanks for the tip Jody!!

This stuff looks amazing! When we see Clint's eye doctor next week, we will definitely need to stop at the nearby Whole Foods to see if we can find this treat. My only hope is that I don't like it TOO much!
