Donuts, Wedges & Circles - Product Review!

Tuesday August 16, 2011

OK - I know some of you came here because of the "donut" word! . I bet my hubby did with his love of donuts!

I first saw these DoD Fitness products on MizFit's Facebook page. Honestly, I was enthralled by the knee donuts but really curious about the wrist wedges & the neck circle. My first thought when I saw the donuts was my cable crunches I do at the gym. If I don't want to search for a mat, my knees always hurt afterwards & I have those funny indentations in them from the floor!

I commented on MizFit's FB page & the owners of this company decided to contact me to see if I wanted to try them out - who am I to say no!!!

1. Course my fist stop was the cable crunches with the knee donuts. I loved the donuts for these! Once I got the hang of placing them in the correct spot & width, all was good. So cushiony on the knees! Lots of other exercises you can use them for too like knee push-ups (I do regular ones), kneeling core work, fire hydrants (not sure I would balance on the weight like in the pic BUT you could use the wrist wedges!) and much much more! Plenty of examples on the DoD site.

2. I also was very curious about the wrist wedges since I do A TON of push-ups, stability ball roll-ups & much more. Honestly, I really don't have probs with my wrists hurting but I was curious! I tried the same exercises with and without the wrist wedges & I could feel less pressure with them. Once again, it takes a little practice getting them in the right place & width for the exercise you are doing but once you get the hang of it, all is fine. I do think these would help people with "wrist issues".

3. Lastly, the neck circle. Once again, I don't have issues with my neck or even with it when I do my core/ab exercises. Like the wrist wedges, I could feel the difference when lying on the floor with & without this circle. I really don't need this for me BUT I do see how it may be good for others & especially for those that have neck issues or do a lot of floor yoga or Pilates moves & need the extra help this would provide for them.

You can buy all 3 products together for $44.99 OR the donuts & wrist wedges are $19.99 per set & the neck circle is $9.99. These prices do NOT include shipping.

I have not used these enough yet to see long term results but Josie over at YumYucky reviewed them as well & said over time, PER JOSIE,  that they get that "wrinkly, squashed-ness appearance with use, yet I have to say that this didn’t cause there to be any lesser-quality of knee/wrist support and performance."

All in all, I really think these products may be helpful for lots of you out there. Me, I use the knee donuts the most & the wrist wedges second. I do use the neck circle at home for a couple things as well.

Check on the products HERE. OH, DoD stands for Do or Die Fitness!

So what do you think? Could these be part of your workout routine? What exercises do you see these products helping you perform better?
