Gratitude Monday & Fit Stanley

Monday August 15, 2011

Welcome to Gratitude Monday. Each Monday, stop by & comment on what you are grateful for & how it will impact you to live a healthier life going forward. How it impacts you does not have to be food or exercise related. It can be in any way, shape or form! If you just want to write a grateful comment & nothing else, that is fine too. If your comment is the same as another one, so be it. Everything goes here!

Of course I am thankful to be back to exercise, no swelling & no real pain from the teeth stuff. Only the right side hurt & the swelling (both sides) stuck around for about 8-10 days but most people did not notice it too much after day 8. The pain was not nearly as bad after day 8 & I was able to stay away from any pain meds! Now it is a 4+ month wait before I go back for more of this implant stuff. I still have 1 regular tooth that needs less invasive work.

But even more so, I am thankful for Kris Beal from The Heart and Humor of Being Human and a visit from Fit Stanley! This all started with MizFit and her Fit Stanley Project and Fit Stanley and Fit Stella but Kris liked it so much that she cloned him & sent him off to a few of us!!! How fun! See pic above but more to come on a Fit Stanley post here and at the Fit Stanley site. Tornado (MizFit's daughter) made Fit Stanley & wrote the message. I LOVE the message, of course!

FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is up with you today?

ahhhh, what a nice surprise to see Fit Stanley here. I'm grateful for my children. We had a fabulous staycation after I stopped complaining about their silly/goofy shenanigans all day long and just embraced the fact that they're just kids having fun doing kid stuff. Once I fixed my attitude problem, we started to have fun together. It was a great week and I'm grateful for the lesson that I learned.

On the road in about 2 hours! I mentioned Stanley today in my post... turned him down when Kris offered since I knew he'd be stuck in the car or suitcase all week. Can't wait to see what you and he are up to!

Glad to hear you're feeling better after the dental stuff!

It's Carnival week here in ptown, so I'm grateful for the hordes of drag queens who will be soon be swarming the main street tottering around on their huge high heeled shoes and posing for photos.

And yes, it does occur to me that we live in an odd little town!

When things don't go right it is hard to stop and think that every experience is something to be grateful for. Later, in retrospect, I often realize that those hard moments are the ones that enriched my life the most.
    Have a great week, Jody.
