Transform Yourself!

Saw this over at April's place & had to share - LOVE IT!
Course some would argue that transformation can be a future event - yes, you can plan for how you want to look or your goal weight or whatever it is BUT I think the point here is NOT to postpone the transformation with EXCUSES!
You know what I am saying - I will start tomorrow & tomorrow never comes OR it does & one bad move makes you retreat back to not trying.
Or the proverbial, I will start Monday - just make NOW your Monday & start already! If not, you may have 10 more excuses not to start by Monday.
You're getting my point - Take baby steps. Change one thing each week if that is what helps you get there. Each day take a walk & add 5 minutes each day OR try to do the same distance in less time.
JUST do it for you!!!!!!!!!!! Today - the present is the best time.
Quotes to think about:
Don't let yesterday use up too much of today. ~Cherokee Indian Proverb
If you have one eye on yesterday, and one eye on tomorrow, you're going to be cockeyed today. ~Author Unknown
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And today? Today is a gift. That's why we call it the present. ~Babatunde Olatunji, a similar version is also attributed to Alice Morse Earle
Children have neither past nor future; they enjoy the present, which very few of us do. ~Jean de la Bruyere
The future is always beginning now. ~Mark Strand, Reasons for Moving
I never think of the future. It comes soon enough. ~Albert Einstein
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Are you in the present?

Yes! "Just do it" is not only an advertising slogan, it's damn good advice!

Hmm.. Transform now and never worry later or suffer later if you don't transform now. Very interesting.

I've liked that Emerson quote ever since I read it!
For good or ill, I live very much in the present. It's just the way I was made.
Heinlein said, "Children live in the present, adults in the future, old people in the past." You'll have to look it up to read his recommendations on this.

I love those quotes!! I have fallen into both traps: obsessing over the mistakes of yesterday, and putting off whatever it is until tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder.

I try hard to be present but it is hard with kids and always having to plan ahead for everything....but I do STOP every so often and enjoy the moment, knowing I will never get that moment back again ; )

I try to be present, but it can be hard! Taking time to smell the flowers helps, literally. I go out to the garden to recoup my brain sometimes.
