Gratitude Monday

Monday July 4, 2011

Welcome to week 6 of Gratitude Monday. Each Monday, stop by & comment on what you are grateful for & how it will impact you to live a healthier life going forward. How it impacts you does not have to be food or exercise related. It can be in any way, shape or form! If you just want to write a grateful comment & nothing else, that is fine too. If your comment is the same as another one, so be it. Everything goes here!

Happy 4th to you all! It is Independence Day so of course today is a day to be grateful that we live in a free country!

Below are a few pics of what else I am grateful for - keep scrolling down after reading below!

From Wikipedia: Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches and ceremonies, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the national day of the United States. You can read more at the Wikipedia link above.

Happy bday boy! My fridge is covered with pics from the kids & you can see some of them there.

Cars Cupcakes - a hit!

Loves his present! He wanted to open but mom said no so he would not lose anything on the drive home.

Linc loves to climb! His sis in background.

2 older grandkids of this family keeping it in the shade & creating sand mountains. The climbing mentioned in Sunday's post - you see in the background.

Syd, the oldest, showing her climbing & posing ability!

A close up - beautiful! You can't see her dimples in this pic.

The pic from yesterday. Check out my comment about my hubby in that pic!

The boys playing XBOX & kids mom in the back ground surprised by something! Myself, the mom, Syd & little Linc took a walk down by the community lake during part of this XBOX marathon & fed the ducks - forgot to take pic - sorry! OH, little Linc is the one bothering big bro!

Have a wonderful day!!!!

My gratitude is going to my Dad this week. I have been nursing him back to health since his hip surgery Thursday. I am so grateful that he took care of his body all his life!!! Its because of his strength and respect of self he's able to recover so quickly.

Happy 4th Jody. Love the pictures. I'm VERY grateful for my health. This past week, a friend of mine who is young got a very dire prognosis (she's fighting cancer), and it has completely put life in perspective. I'm also grateful I can be there for her, grateful I have wonderful friends and grateful for my blog friends who are sending prayers and thoughts her way.

Love your gratitude post! I am grateful that I can run 5K races, especially when it is with my friends and family, and even more especially, that it raises money for autism research.
