Gratitude Monday

Monday June 20, 2011

Welcome to week 4 of Gratitude Monday. Each Monday, stop by & comment on what you are grateful for & how it will impact you to live a healthier life going forward. How it impacts you does not have to be food or exercise related. It can be in any way, shape or form! If you just want to write a grateful comment & nothing else, that is fine too. If your comment is the same as another one, so be it. Everything goes here!

Today I am grateful for a wonderful family & the fun I had yesterday visiting with my hubby's brother & family & his Dad. Couple pics included to enjoy! My hubby, his dad & one of his younger bro's (my age) in above pic.

Hubby/bro's dad opening gifts. Yes that is ice cream on the table! Lucky for me my tummy can't handle it!

Bro's wife & the dad enjoying the gift opening!

This is the view from hubby's brother's home - amazing!

How was your Father's day celebration or day? Anyone want to share a cool or funny Father's day story - recent OR past???

PS: Also thankful for another great outside run yesterday with my Hoka shoes!

hey Jody! great pics of your day today. looks like everyone is healthy and happy. we had a fun and relaxing day. went to park and we jogged a bit with kids on trail toward playground. fun! then a game of tag for ALL of us. I cannot catch Syd and Casey for anything on the jungle gym. they are fast and agile, unlike me. at least i can get Sawyer and Lincoln still... not much to brag about haha. anyway glad you and dad had fun with his dad/bro. talk soon!

I am grateful for the weekends. Dad and I had our visit Saturday, so yesterday I did nothing except Church in the morning.

I am grateful for family, and for my husband's grandfather who is a tremendously positive influence in our lives!

I don't think that just because someone is your father, that means they have to be the central father figure in your life -- and I am grateful I figured that out!

Sable, that is so true! AND, moms have to be dads & dads have to be moms & grandparents have to be parents at times...

    Jody,
Lovely photos - looks like a wonderful day!!

Best part of the day yesterday: playing a game of HORSE with my kids. And...every shot had to be some kind of weird shot (...ummmm....and I'm just not as acrobatic as my kids!!!)

I am grateful that I have the resources to purchase healthy food and the ability to cook it! Eating well contributes to feeling well and I am blessed in this area of my life.

    Nice Father's Day celebration!

We had a nice outing on Saturday and then on Sunday hubby had a migraine! Bummer, so we just puttered around the house, got Chipotle take out and relaxed.

I am grateful to be starting a new chapter this weekend. I am grateful for the sun as it motivates the garden to grow and me to ride my bicycle more
