Do You Short-Change Yourself?
THE ONLY PERSON THAT LOSES WHEN YOU DECIDE TO SHORT-CHANGE YOURSELF IS YOU! - Vicky Pratt
Are you short-changing yourself with your health, with your fitness, with your life, with your family? How many times have you lost & gained & lost & gained?
What can you do to put yourself first to become the best you possible -to be healthy & happy for YOU. When you are happy & healthy, it shows your children & those around you that you care about YOU & they should care about themselves too. Teach by example.
What can you do today to stop the short-changing?
Also want to remind everyone of that cool Go Caddy product review from last week. Great for the gym, hikes, walks or just about anything. If you take a gym bag but don't want to leave your license, phone, keys & other important stuff in the locker, check this out. They also have a Golfing Caddy if the guys want to check that out.

i truly am my own worst enemy at times when it comes to my health and fitness. great post Jody. thanks... really needed this!

You set a good Dr. Seuss example here today, Jody!
It has often been said
there's so much to be read,
you never can cram
all those words in your head.
So the writer who breeds
more words than he needs
is making a chore
for the reader who reads.
That's why my belief is
the briefer the brief is,
the greater the sigh
of the reader's relief is.

As a mom (or any care-taker of others), it's easy to put the needs of others' first. My kids were always cleaner, dressed better, and fed better than me.
I used to have a "why bother?" attitude -- after all, I'm just going to get spit-up on me, or I'm just doing housework, or I've been up all night with the baby.
Well, my baby is 5 now and I've been working on changing my approach to self-care. You are right, Jody, they need to see a good example of self-care, too.

Gina, so many women & mothers are like you & they have to realize that to be good for their kids, they have to be good to themselves too.

You know I know this, but when I am going through a binge day I can't seem to overcome. I allow myself one bad day a week and that is usually Sunday. I wish I didn't do this, but so far I haven't defeated that burden.
Great post Jody, loved it!

Sheri, you are doing great & we all have bumps in the road... as long as we go right over them instead of stumbling on them over & over...

I love that quote. I am not short changing myself in fitness, but perhaps else where in my life...

Every bone is my body did NOT want to workout today. I forced it. And then I was in the zone, baby! Had this been last year, I totally would have went back to bed. I'm so glad this is NOT last year! haha
