What is Your Excuse?
We all know the words - the excuses for not eating better or not taking time out to exercise or just move & have fun. Well, let me show you how you can still move but enjoy as well based on a family get together this past weekend to celebrate Casey's bday!
Pool fun time & playing around:

Taking a walk to enjoy - pick up the pace if you can & also take time to smell the roses & the flowers:

Fight some pirates - lego Pirates of the Caribean:

Maybe a little quick travel time around the house - we have no idea but this kiddo loved playing with the overnight bag & was pushing it around the house!

Maybe some finger workouts:

And there is always the playground! Pics from the Fila photo shoot:

Happy birthday boy!

There is always room for a mini cupcake after all the fun!

What is your excuse? Should you even have one??? Make your health a priority in your life!
I wrote a comment on another blog site: It is all about choices & consistency for sure! I have been doing this for close to 30 years & I have learned many things along the way but the biggest is the consistency & making it a priority in my life.

Lots of fun being had in all of those pictures.
Amen to this, " I have learned many things along the way but the biggest is the consistency & making it a priority in my life."
This is the kind of advice that is worth bars of gold. Hope someone that has some also realizes it and hand them to you. Sorry, all I got for you is this comment.
Us who are new to this effort need to hear concise advice just like that from pros like you.

I think for many of us, the habits we established in childhood stay with us throughout life!

Dr. J - true! I did not have good eating habits & had to relearn that but I was always active as a kid.

You have such a great attitude! =) And you are totally right -- there's no reason being more active and healthier can't be fun!

Lori - this is my youngest stepdaughter's neighborhood. They just bought their first home here in an older neighborhood with really quaint homes. Me, I live in a typical CA type neighborhood where everything looks the same!

I used to have a long list of excuses until I realised that it all came down to me not making myself a priority.
Once I looked at it that way and learned to enjoy how Ifeel when I look after myself there was no turning back
