It has been a fun & busy week for me. I provided you a tease in my Wednesday post & will be posting more next week. I will say that the GirlGetStrong ladies could not make it to a Gatorade launch event of the new G Series FIT product line (one of the products above) in Los Angeles so they asked me to go for them. How exciting is that! I will write more about the products & other fun stuff next week!
For today, I am catching up on mail & found my ACE newsletter in my Inbox. I saw a couple great things to share with you so here we go!
1. Stability Ball Reverse Extensions - Works the butt & back. Remember my 2 weeks with that back prob a while back & actually the back is one of the most if not the most susceptible body part to injury from not only working out but just doing every day activities. Protect it & do exercises that strengthen it!!!!

| Target Body Part: | Back, Butt/Hips |
| Primary Muscles: | Erector Spinae, Gluteus Maximus (glutes) |
| Secondary Muscles: (Synergists/Stabilizers) |
Trapezius (Traps), Latissimus Dorsi (Lats), Rhomboids, Serratus Anterior, Transverse Abdominus, Quadriceps (quads), Hamstrings |
| Equipment Needed: | Stability Ball |
Step 1
Starting Position: Lie prone (on your stomach) over the top of a properly-inflated stability ball (one that compresses approximately 6" under your body weight) with both feet and hands on the floor, hip- and shoulder-width apart.Step 2
Upward Phase: Gently exhale, contract your abdominal/core muscles to stiffen your torso and slowly walk yourself forward until your hips lie directly over the top of the ball, lifting both legs in unison off the floor until they are parallel with your torso. In this position, your body weight is distributed over the ball and supported by both hands placed on the floor. Press and hold your legs together so they move at the same time. Think about squeezing a quarter between your knees to help maintain the position. From Jody - why not think about squeezing one between the butt cheeks too to tighten that baby up as well!Step 3
Lowering Phase: Inhale and slowly lower both legs in unison back towards the floor while keeping them fully extended.2. In addition, there was also this short video, about 3 minutes or so, about how to create a circuit training program for yourself to take outside now that the weather is improving! For the cardio, do what is right for you. For example, in one part it talks about jumping rope but if your joints can't handle that, why not do high knee ups instead! Modify to meet your needs! Outside is a good thing!
3. One last thing - and this is an older review from ACE but I know many people are into the Vibram shoes these days so here is the ACE review for the Vibrams FiveFingers Classic.
Are you one that can't wait for the weather to get nice & take it outside? What is your fav outside activity? Do you do a circuit training outside workout during the nice weather - want to share? Do you wear Vibrams & do you like them?

have a great weekend.
I hope it has been an amazing few days!

Welcome back! Can you send me the link on the newsletter from ACE?
Anyways, one of my goals this last winter was to workout all winter long outside. Back in August I was sick of the gym, and from riding outside all last summer I was addicted to being outdoors. I am proud to say I did it and really enjoyed it.

I love my Vibrams, I wear Treks for my trails for running, hiking and backpacking.

I have wanted to try the VFF several times, but I am afraid I would be disappointed. My right foot is slightly bigger than my left foot, and I am concerned that it will affect my comfort with a shoe like these.
I love being barefoot though, so maybe I need to just take advantage of that more often.

I am waiting for my husband to get down my bike (from it's spot suspended at the top of the garage) and get it ready to ride outside. We have missed some nice days already! But he has taxes on his mind and has not gotten around to that either

You know me - I could barely wait to get my bike outside! Gardening is another outdoor activity that I can't wait to sink my hands in to

I cannot wait to hear more about the trip! I tried the 5 fingers but my feet were aching! I think you have to go slowly work your way up to wearing them long distances...

The weather can't get good and stay good soon enough. The sooner the better. Lots of miles out there waiting to be had.

I can't wait to hear more about the trip! That is so awesome.
I can't wait for the weather to get nice and my allergies to calm down! I woke up feeling like I got hit by a bus today.

One of the trails I walk has a few pieces of equipment that I use now and then to complete a circuit workout. I'm planning on using it until I decide on a gym membership.
