Life Happens - Set Your Sails!
You can't change the wind, but you can set your sails in the direction you want.
Found this quote & loved it! I can't tell you how many times I have set my sails in different directions. I know from my posts that it does not sound that way but I have!
In terms of fitness, I have gone the lose weight & no exercise route. Then I added in exercise in the form of light weights way back when at a place called Spa Lady. The I joined 24 Hour Fitness in 1982 & started doing the aerobics classes along with weights. I eventually added in running & did 5K's for a while but still lifted weights. In my late 30's, I did bodybuilding. After that, I spent a year coming down from the super heavy weights & with that I altered my eating & started circuit training.
I still do a circuit training type of workout but it is tailored to a Jody workout!
In life, not my fitness life, yes, I have changed sails along the way & am I still trying to do that. Still trying to find what I want to be when I grow up.... I have set my sail in different directions - they have not always been the right choices so then I have to adjust.... this is life...
Have you changed the direction of your sail no matter what the wind is doing???

Holy cow! LOVE that quote! I always pop over here at just the time you have something I need to read. I've missed your blog..been out of commission for a while and haven't been blog reading.
Thanks for the food for thought.

I tried sailing once, and somehow ended up in the lake. Maybe if I had this advice back then, I'd have done better. Um, lose weight & no exercise route... perish the thought.
As far as what your real message is here; YES... Ichange things up from time to time to avoid boredom or to reignite progress.
Oh, hey everybody; if you haven't checked out Jody's facebook page you should do so... there you can see here exercising with a tree. Just go look at it... http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/profile.php?id=100000069514057

I change my sail. Much more so in the last couple of years, too. As you know, I have really been doing food experimentation and actually having a lot of fun doing it. I've learned a lot doing this.

I love this quote. I think it is good for everyone to look at their lives and adjust their sails now and then, it keeps life fresh and fun!

I love this post and this quote! It's so important to make little (and sometimes big) adjustments no matter what the wind may be doing!
