Giveaway Post - Sweat/Perspire Help
Tuesday March 1, 2011

Some call it perspiring, some call it sweating - but whatever you want to call it, we need ways to "wipe up" after a good workout!!!
ME - I say it like it is - I SWEAT!!!! I bring a couple large towels & at least 2 small towels with me to the gym! I have posted about my amazing towels from Inperspire and Bobbie's Fitness Warrior Wear line. I not only wipe down all the equipment & benches before I use them but I also put a large towel over the bench or piece of equipment I am using. The smaller towels are to wipe my face & "whatever else"..
. In fact, I did a post in August of 2010 about sweating & germs in the gym. Check out THIS POST & the video from The Today Show about 3/4 of the way down the post OR check out the whole post. You may have a new view about wiping down things AND using towels like I do!
Now we all have those times when we are doing cardio or weights & instead of grabbing our towel, we sort of swipe the top of our lower arm across our face or eyes - well, which does not always help or makes it sting more. So, FJ of FitMarker and FitJerk's Fitness Blog (previously Flawless Fitness Blog) sent me some of his new FM wristbands! You see them above with FJ modeling it & that big pic is one on my wrist so you can see they fit men & women! I have a fairly small wrist & fits me fine!
I tried the FM wristband out while I worked out & I loved it! Even though I carry towels galore, this really helped. You know, as I was on the lying leg curl trying to improve my 53 year old hamstrings & sweat was dripping down into my eyes, that wrist band came into use!
PLUS, I really did not know how often I did this swiping of my lower arm across my face or forehead till I wore this wristband. I do it a lot!
Just so you know a little about FitMarker, a while back I wrote HERE about this new social media site, FitMarker. From their website, "FitMarker is a site that allows you to bookmark, share, discover and discuss the best fitness articles, workouts, photos and videos that the web has to offer all in one convenient place. This website puts a huge emphasis on community interaction and rewards those that constantly submit quality content and useful insights by commenting... so get involved!" You can read more about it HERE.
Anyway, I have 2 FM Wristbands to give away! Here is what you need to do to enter:
1. Leave a comment telling me if you sweat or perspire,
, and how do you handle sweat in the gym or wherever you work out?
2. For another chance to win, head over to FitMarker & let us know what you think - meaning myself & FJ. He is always trying to improve his site so anything you care to add, he is willing to hear. Leave a separate comment.
Giveaway open to U.S. and Canada residents. I will announce the winner Monday March 7. FJ gave me the wrist bands for free to try out & give away!
Wipe away!!! ![]()

I sweat like crazy. My husband makes fun of me I think I even embarrass him. Most people take 1 towel from the rack I usually take 3 or 4, on for each of the handles and one for around my neck because my hair gets drenched. I get major boob sweat TMI (sorry). I hear sweating is a good thing but is sure looks bad. I don't really see any females who sweat as much as I do. I guess that could mean that I work harder?

I "glow." My sweatiest is in cycling class. But I don't need wrist things so no need to enter me. BTW - my husband sweats, and I mean SWEATS, doing anything. His workout clothes are segregated to their own laundry, they stink so bad!

I am a supreme sweater LOL! I use my lifting gloves to wipe sweat. When I run on the treadmill, I have a towel there to mop myself off. With biking, I wipe my face on my riding gloves. Nobody should want to touch those things when I get done LOL!

I SWEAT! haha! Perspire just sounds a little too ladylike
I actually carry some paper towels with me and use those to wipe off....between hubby and I, I already have to do a towel wash 2-3x per week LOL!

I'm a one-towel gal. Tag side down on the benches and mats; non-tag side for my face.
