Product Review - Protein/Energy Drink

I was asked by Andrea Vincent, founder of seeMommyrun.com, to review the drinks above. There are 4 flavors - Chocolate, Cappuccino, Vanilla & Spiced Chai. You can also see the nutritional stats. All 4 flavors have similar stats but you can go to the site, Sveltebrand, to check out the products & more about the company, prices and where you can buy them if you are interested in trying them out.
I tried the Spiced Chai & the Cappuccino and my hubby tried the Chocolate & Vanilla. I did NOT tell my hubby that it was soymilk vs. regular ole milk. I know, sneaky!!!
Now, these are LARGE containers - at least for me. My hubby said it was a lot for him too so it is easy to break this up into two servings vs. one serving.
On the flavor, I LOVED the cappuccino! YUM! The Spiced Chai actually reminded me of a holiday spice drink. The flavor was good but not something I would want to drink all at one time. I suppose those of you that like tea & drink chai tea would really like this flavor. Again, I liked it but not as much as the Cappuccino. My hubby liked both the chocolate & vanilla & had no idea it was soymilk for those that want to sneak this to their kids or hubbies or significant others.
On to the stats. For me, I do not prefer that many carbs when I have a drink like this but again, I would not drink the whole carton at once. Also, it depends on when & for what reason you are drinking this. If you are on the go, it might be a good make up of carbs & proteins for you. It has fiber too. Yes, there are sugars but not excessively high especially for a drink on the go. AND, it will fill you up if you decide to drink the whole carton or sip it over a period of time. I would definitely think of buying it out & about for a meal if need be...
Price - A case of 12 is $35.99. If you want a mix of all 4 drinks, the case price is $37.99. For me, if I did drink things like this more often, it still seems sort of pricey. It all depends on your own personal preference & what you are willing to pay. The drinks are also available at stores. You can check out where HERE.
There ya have it. A new option to check out for a drink on the go OR one to buy if your local store has it.
Anybody try these yet??? If yes, your thoughts.

Way too many carbs as I see it, doubt I would buy it for that reason honestly.
Have a great weekend!

April.. again, I am like you! I rather chew the food but if I am caught in a bind, this is a good option for a meal, especially if I will not eat for a few hours vs. my mini meals.

Thanks for the review. I have not tried this one. I use to drink some protein drinks when I was working retail and would need to have something to keep my blood sugar up when I would have to work through my usual lunch time. I don't usually need these types of drinks anymore since I can eat at meal times.
I like many others, like to chew my calories.

I'm not much of a shake drinker, although I will make a smoothie from time to time. (I'd rather chew my calories.) I also think that seems a tad pricey, especially since I'd have to mail order and pay shipping. Then again, if I tasted it and liked it, $3+ per pkg might not seem too high at all.
