This is my own personal cause & for those that don't have one, they may want to think about donating to one of the Sarcoma Foundations below. My mother passed away from a rare form of cancer called Lipsarcoma. It is one of about 50 subtypes of sarcomas that affect all age groups from the youngest to the oldest. It is a "a cancer that begins in the muscle, fat, fibrous tissue, blood vessels, or other supporting tissue of the body". There is no cure & funding is low because of its rarity. As some of you may know, the rarer the form of cancer, the less money that is usually allocated to it by the larger organizations or the NIH (National Health Institute) as well as fewer people donate because they just don't know about it. This cancer just keeps coming back, grows back where it already was & spreads to other areas as well. You can learn more about it at these links. Please Donate if you can: SarcomaHelp.Org Please check these links: Thank You |
Food, family, teachers, animals…these are the things (and beings) I am thankful for.
It’s easy to get caught up in all the delicious food that Thanksgiving dinner generally brings to the table–the stuffing, roasted sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie (mmm!). But I should not take all this food for granted.
We have all this great food because of farmers and the soil around us, and the food wouldn’t be as great without sharing it with loved ones.
What people or animals are you most thankful for? Where did the food come from that sustains your life?
Back in September, I read all your fascinating six-word memoirs, and it showed how passionate and creative Care2 members are. Please implore your creativity one more time and tell us what you are most thankful for–in four words. (We’re not sticklers here. It’s okay if you go over!)
Whether you’re celebrating Thanksgiving or celebrating life, don’t forget this season to focus on all you are grateful for–and if you can, do something to show your appreciation!
What are your four words of gratitude? Please share them below in the comment field, and then with friends and family next time you gather.
The statement above is from the article but I am passing it on too. What are your 4 words of gratitude?
It is easy & hard all at the same time. Of course I want to say family, friends, health, love... things like that.....but...I am: Thankful to be alive. Especially with the losses of loved ones! Thankful to be healthy. Thankful for weight lifting,
. There is so much we can say.....
If you can walk, if you can move, USE IT! Instead of moaning & groaning about that workout, be glad you can do it when others can't due to injury or disease.

There are so many things that I am grateful for I can't even begin to list them!
Food is not on the list.
