Pics of Gym Monday & My Eats!
First I have to thank you all for your wonderful comments yesterday! You are all the best!!!! Made my day!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
So as you all are aware, yesterday was my bday #53. Of course I started it at the gym & since I do an all weight workout on Mondays, I was thrilled! No cardio on my bday!!! Here are a couple pics of me in the gym - I do all body parts but chest but took just a few pics.
Lying leg curl. That's my bag filled with towels & other workout goodies on the floor.

I do walking lunges, curtsey lunges, plyometrics, core & more in here.

I also got some cute cards from the crazy kids & a gift cert for Road Runner Sports from my sister!!!! How exciting is that!
Now, you want to see how basic I eat... see below. Nothing like Lori at Finding Radiance & her pretty plates of food!
Here is one of my homemade protein bars:

Here is a piece of whole grain toast with power PB:

I eat these yummy almonds a couple times a day or more...

This is a chicken breast covered with salsa:

Here are my microwaved frozen veggies which I sometimes, well, lots of times, put mustard on.. still in the dish I used to cook them!

Some vanilla protein powder mixed with water & PB flour... right in the cheap ole bowl I mixed it in. I change this up with different flavor protein powder or maybe cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice or 100% cocoa powder mixed in vanilla protein powder.. sometimes use unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I forgot to take the pic before I started eating it so I had already eaten half of this when I snapped the pic! :-O

Piece of Quinoa Wheat Bread - dry. I like my bread dry except in the morn after the gym with my power PB.

Here is oatmeal with cinnamon oatmeal protein powder, flax, cinnamon, nutmeg & a few frozen strawberries. I mix this one up too with different spices, flavors of protein powder, different frozen fruits or not, honey or 100% maple syrup or not... you get the gist! Sure not pretty like Lori's but tastes fine to me!

See, I told you I am pretty basic!!! It works for me & that is what counts. This is not all I eat. I will post more as I eat the different things along the way like my Greek yogurt & fruit & other goodies! I did not take pics of my coffee or water!
So, anything you want to say to me???? Am I crazy???

Happy Birthday Girly! Love that vein on the arm there...fantastic!

If my arms looked like yours I would be feeling myself all the time.
My eats look pretty much like yours. Bland but yummy!

Can't see anything I'd call crazy there. Good looking foods. I have to make me some protein bars. Can't stand the junk bars sold in stores, but the idea of a good protein bar is one I want to make happen.

You are committed, I don't think I've ever worked out on my birthday! Hope you had a great day.
I too eat pretty basic meals, they're easier to prepare, but still taste great. Too many condiments hide the flavor of food.

Karen.. yes, I am all about easy cooking as you can tell!

I am the most boring eater on the planet...which is why I am not a food blogger. Dry toast and hard boiled eggs are not photo-worthy!
Hope you had a happy birthday! It certainly sounds like you did!

Joanna, that is why this post cracked me up as I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo boring! Your recipes are great!

Well I just can't get the idea of mustard on the veggies out of my mind. Never heard of that before!

Karen, it is pretty good.. try the mustard of your choice. Ya don't need much if you put it on when they are steaming hot right after cooking & mix it up!!!

yeah for no cardio on your bday! My food is usually more colorful but I wish I could eat like you. What is power peanut butter?

Power PB is this: http://powerbutter.com/products.html. Vitamin Shoppe carries this version, http://www.theconsumerlink.com/POWERBUTTER/detail/TCL+POWER+PB+1/0 on their stores which is a bit different make up than the online versions you can buy...

This has to be one of my favorite posts! Thank you so much for sharing your meals.. I actually got some great ideas from it! Where do you find that quinoa bread? Also, do you eat those meals shown above plain (like nuts as a mini meal) or do you have something along with it? Just curious b/c sometimes nuts will hold me on it's own, and sometimes I need more!

I got the quinoa bread at Trader Joe's! Those are mini meals for me.... I eat the veggies separate from the chicken BUT when I eat the veggies, I may have a couple pieces of low sodium turkey meat from Sprouts or some other little bit of protein. The almonds are a mini snack for me. For example, I may eat them 30 minutes or more before the veggies at one time and then later in the day about an hour before a later mini meal. Yes, sometimes I am HUNGRY & the nuts hold me to the next mini meal.

I had to laugh at the chicken breast and salsa because I couldn't see the chicken! I love my condiments as well.
That is a nice big gym you have all to yourself. Mine is very tiny, but functional.
