Yoga Towel Review & GIVEAWAY!!!

Wednesday September 15, 2010

The nice people at Americas Nutrition contacted me regarding a review & GIVEAWAY! It is actually America's Nutrition with an apostrophe but GoDaddy does not let me put in amy symbols & such for a link. If I try, it will not take the link....

Anyway, Cheryl at America's Nutrition let me try out 3 products!!! How exciting is that! I will review each one & one reader will be chosen at random to receive the item.

My first review is on The Hot Yoga Towel by Zenzation. Now I don't do yoga or hot yoga but the fact that it would absorb sweat, that it is a long towel, antibacterial & more sparked my interest, especially the sweat part!

I am a fanatic about cleaning off equipment before I use it BUT STILL using my towel on the equipment after I clean it. AND, since I sweat like crazy (looks like I have been swimming or taken a shower by the time I am done), anything that would absorb more sweat was a good thing to me!!!

So, here is what the manufacturer says about the towel & you can read more HERE:

100% microfiber
Absorbs 10x the sweat of a normal cotton towel
72"x 24" (longer than I am tall!)
Anti-bacterial & lint free
Breathable & lint free

I had read some reviews on the internet & there was mixed feelings about ths towel but I have to say that I love it! Again, I use it for my cardio, core/abs & weight training sessions.

The towel is a light gray color which was fine by me. If you lie it on a rug area to do abs/core, it does kinda stick to it but again, fine by me. Put it over a mat if you want to! It also has a "cleaning tag" on it so I know which side is hitting the floor or machine/bench. That is what I do with my normal towels to be sure my bod always hits the no machine/bench side of the towel.

Also, since it is soooooooooo long, I can even fold it in half & still have plenty of towel to use!

I also like how soft it is. I use 2 towels at the gym - one big one for machines/benches and a small one for my face. My face towel is always a softer material which I prefer for the absorbency factor & also since I have face issues & softer towels don't feel "scratchy" on my face. With this towel, it is soft as well so I can use it along with my face towel... which I do. I keep track of where my face is vs. bod on the yoga towel!

I have washed it a few times per the directions & it still is working great & holding up great!

Here is where I have to put that FTC Disclaimer: I was not compensated in any way for the review written here; although I did receive the product for free, the opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

So, do you want to win a hot yoga towel for yourself? To enter:

1. Leave a comment telling us what you do to combat the sweat when you work out? Do you use 1 towel or two like me? OK, sometimes I use 3 & I drink water like crazy!!!!

2. For a second entry, post it to your Facebook page OR mention on your own blog & make sure to do a separate comment for that.

3. If you want to Tweet, feel free, but since I don't do Twitter, I don't feel right saying that you get another entry for that.

GIVEAWAY will go thru Sunday, September 19, 2010. I will announce the winner Monday, September 20, 2010. Winner will be chosen at random.

US & Canada only.. sorry!

Again, thank you to Cheryl at Americas Nutrition for this opportunity! I have 2 more products I will be reviewing next week from Americas Nutrition & a giveaway for each one as well!

You know how I feel about gym germs so I love workout towels. And since I'm a sweaty one, I never enter the gym without a towel because leaving your sweat behind just isn't classy.

When I do push ups and other floor exercises at home, I lay a towel on the floor. This sounds like it would be great for this purpose. Like you, I sweat like crazy too, so anything that could absorb a lot of moisture is good for me!

I kept thinking about my husband when I read this. I sweat, but he SWEATS. When he started taking (not-hot) yoga with me last winter he had to wear a headband to keep the sweat from his eyes and he dripped all over the mat. Yuck.

I didn't do so well with the microfiber gym towel. Maybe it was the brand I had, though...

I work either outdoors, or in my own home, so sweating isn't too much of an issue.

I wear a headband to keep the sweat from dripping into my eyes, and hop into the shower when I'm finished.

But I'd love to give this towel a whirl anyhow!

I am definitely a hardcore sweater. I've have to take my own towels, because I soak through the little cheap ones they have at the gym, especially if I'm in the weight room or taking a class.

Whoa, it absorbs 10x the sweat of a typical towel! That would help me as I use 2 or 3 towels when I strength train.
