The Person You Thought You Were Is No Match for the One You Really Are; Blog Info

It’s the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs, and the voice inside you that yells ‘CAN’T’. But you don’t listen, you just push harder. And then you hear the voice whisper ‘can’, and you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are. ~Unknown
Found this on the Inperspire Blog. It really hit home.. makes you think, doesn't it! I am making this short & sweet.... a change for me!
OK, what does this say to you? Does it call your name? Will you heed it's call???? Will you push out of the comfort zone? I try every day... as I say. I am always a work in progress. Some days are better than others. I definitely push out of my comfort zone in the gym but real life is a bit harder for me. I am far from being the one I really want to be but I try.... and keep trying.
With that pic above, had to mention this previous a post: For an additional high intensity workout for cardio, legs & butt, check out this video from ACE, American Council on Exercise. It is a high intensity stair workout! This stuff works you big time!!!! It is more advanced so be sure & have some experience under your belt & if you have medical or joint issues, talk to your doctor first!!!
BLOG INFO: I have noticed that Sundays are very slow comment & view days for me so I have decided to no longer post on Sundays UNLESS THE SPIRIT MOVES ME.
I WILL CONTINUE MY SATURDAY FUNNY POSTS THOUGH!!! Giveaway post tomorrow! Very exciting!

I like this quote alot! Some days it holds true, but other days it's certainly more of a challenge to dig deep and get past the "can't". I have been on a major energy slump lately (over a week) and am really struggling to get over it!
Love the link to the stair workout! Now, to find a decent set of stairs! In our little town, almost all the buildings are single storey!

It could just be the high I am on now from having dropped a good hunk of weight, but I get a great charge out of pushing my comfort zone; or as I call it pushing the envelope. It is a high I hope I never see fade. Otherwise, I fear if we dont push the edges of our comfort zones, well we wont get better, will we?

One of the nice things about working out at a gym, taking a class or working with a trainer is that it helps you push yourself. I find it much harder to push myself when I'm working out alone and no one is watching.

Karen, I tend to agree. I go to the gym at very quiet times but just being there helps me push my limits...

That's how I began cutting back too, first Sundays. Later, Saturdays. Then, well, more days. Seems to me that weekends and posting has slowed down a bit in general. Do what works for you

The voice inside me never says you can't! Others have tried to set my limits, but I don't care. I just tell them, "maybe you can't do it."
Now the world will set limits for me on what I can't do, but I never argue for my limitations.
As Roy would say, "That's how I roll!"

I'm working on working outside my comfort level with other things in life too! I can pretty much do it with weights.. when I feel like "ouch" I tell myself that those are the reps that count.. push it! LOL. But I'm also trying to go outside my comfort zones as in talking to people, being more confident, etc since I'm so shy!

John always says that I underestimate what I can do. He's right. I always have doubts that I can do something, and then I tackle it and it isn't so bad after all.
