Sunday Fun with Friends & Family!

Last Sunday we visited my hubby's brother, his wife, hubby's Dad, younger bro, Uncle/wife. The brother's house is in a beautiful area outside Los Angeles, in the hills & an awesome view. It was so calming & relaxing. Very nice!

Today I get to visit with an old friend of mine that now lives in Spain. He is in the states to visit friends & family for his bday. I obviously don't have a today pic BUT here is an older pic of the two of us. We have known each other since I was 25!!!!! I used to work for him! I like this pic cause I was younger & look it,
, PLUS it was when I straightened my hair. I like it that way better but in my old age, too much a pain in the butt to pull straight & too expensive to get it done in the salon with that process that lasts 6 months or so. Also, with hair like mine, even pulling it straight, it will start to curl up & frizz right away most of the time. I like the darker color too but with the gray now, I would be covering it every week!!!! Friggin aging process!

I hear you on the hair thing. (I almost made that a bad pun.) Last night on the way into a party my neighbor asked if I had just gotten mine cut and I had to admit that it only looked that way because I have blown it dry (i.e. straight) and most days this darn hot summer had been letting it go - which for me means frizz all over! Still covering my gray though - gray and red... not such a good combination.

I'm lucky to have semi-straight hair.. but some of it is wavy as well so it looks kind of awkward!

I hope you enjoy(ed) the time with your family and friends!I, too have naturally curly hair so I can totally relate to the process of straightening! Beautiful pics, both then and now!
