I saw this over The Weigh I Am. Had to share! Who has not felt like this at some point in their life!




Now, on to a new social media site. FitMarker dedicated to the health and fitness niche. It was started & is administered by FJ of Flawless Fitness Blog (who has guest posted here a few times & is hard to forget!) AND JC of JCDFitness.

The site is catered specifically to the fitness niche. FJ & JC have "created a hub; a one-stop-shop where visitors can get quality information, while having the ability to interact within the community via comments, messages and votes. Also, it's going to be a GREAT place for fitness bloggers such as yourself to submit content and get quality visitors landing on your site, which equals more exposure."

This is what FJ & JC had to say about their new site, FitMarker which goes live TOMORROW, August 1, 2010!

  • Traffic from FitMarker will be targeted, unlike Digg and StumbleUpon. Why? Simply because the visitors who frequent FitMarker will be fitness enthusiasts and other content creators who will be interested in your content. They won’t be some random Stumbler who continually clicks through all day long, visiting random sites. We have nothing against StumbleUpon (we love it, actually), but their visitors are much too random.
  • The site is community-driven, so the users are in charge. If they like the content, they can recommend it to others and/or “Bump” it; if they think it sucks, they can “Dump” it... this goes for the content FJ and I write as well. It’s as simple as that. Also, the more you get involved, the more points you will automatically generate. It's a way to encourage community involvement. Users who average a high number of points will get link backs, guest post opportunities etc. 
  • Were unbiased, therefore all forms of content is accepted. Even though FJ and I are writers at heart, the site is not limited to blocks of text... pictures, videos and links to audio podcasts are more than welcome!
  • No Spam. reCAPCHA and Stop Spam (IP blacklist) plugins are enabled. This site will not have spam. As spammers’ tactics improve and evolve, we will take the appropriate actions to dissolve their efforts.
Please stop by FitMarker & check it out. I was lucky enough to be part of the Beta test & although I am not the most computer savvy, as most of you know, I had no probs playing around with it! That says something right there! PLUS, lots of interesting & good articles to read!!! Again, it goes live August 1 at FitMarker.com.
