What Decision are You Going to Make?

| “Indecision may or may not be my problem.” |

First, thank you for all your wonderful comments yesterday! I did not have a chance to respond to them. I love how you all have found what works for you whether it be portion control, calorie counting, measuring, WW, IE, ME or a combination of all or some of these or any of your other little tricks of the trade. I loved hearing about them all! Thank you! It is all about finding what works for you!
So, on to my post:
I was originally going to use this quote on my Saturday Funnies day & then I started to think about it. As I looked for a pic to share, I saw these two & especially the one in green. That got me thinking even more as I do tend to be indecisive at times. I am sure that fear of failure comes into that!
So my question for you today: Are you indecisive or do you go after what you want with a gusto? Do you feel more opportunities are lost to indecision than bad decisions & do you want to share your experiences?
I have found in some things, I have just gone after them.... mostly in the fitness realm. I push in the gym. I have done 5k's and placed and won. I have done bodybuilding & won. I have TRIED to get in magazines as a reader model but to no avail but I TRIED! Thx Jules & Bobbie again for featuring me!!! BUT some areas of my life have been otherwise - mostly what I call real life, not my fitness life. Other times, my indecision or what I feel is more "fear of failure" held me back..... Always a work in progress.. that is me!
Share your thoughts & experiences with us! We can all learn from each other!

I thought about commenting here, but decided against it. Then I decided to go for it after all. Wow, my head does to thoughts, what the Magic Bullet does to walnuts.
I am the poster child for indecision, which explains why I am so very successful -- NOT!

Wow Jody I could write an entire series of posts on this!!!!!! I use to go after things full speed ahead and burn myself out. I have spent a lot of time...slowing down and trying to build foundations for my projects...mainly me right now...But one thing I have learned about myself...When I know just enough to think I know enough I go full speed ahead....If I have doubts or I am unsure about something is when the indecision, back and forth wavering comes into play. Now, I try to look at that and ask or learn about what I need FIRST...

I try to look at that and ask or learn about what I need FIRST... something to think about!

This is a great quote! I am wayyyy to indecisive, but not about everything. Right now hubby and I are putting off making a decision about new kitchen knives. Knives, for Pete's sake! And we put a lot of time and discussion into choosing exactly where in town we wanted to stay at a hotel for an upcoming trip. And each morning have to think about where to ride our bikes. Oh, I guess I am very indecisive

It's funny, there are some areas of my life where I'm completely decisive and others where I'm hopeless. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I want to be when I grow up!

I am also trying to figure that question out.. have been for too many years! A work in progress... maybe too much!

I have been more decisive in some aspects of my life than others. Thus I do not believe a person is either decisive or indecisive. In my career, very decisive. I love, decisive. In fitness, indecisive. I am trying to pull that last one into the decisive catagory now but historically that has not been a strong area for me decisively.

First, love the Jimmy Buffett quote. That cracks me up. We were watching Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 2) the other day and Larry David said the greatest line: "I have ideas, but I choose not to carry then out." That just made me laugh and laugh, like the Buffett quote. Indecision definitely is a problem for me (and for Jimmy). Even the simplest decisions like where we want to eat can make the two of us go round and round thinking about what is best for us. It is maddening. Indecision affects me most when it comes to working out - whether to workout on a particular day given my schedule and obligations - or whether it is a good idea to workout if my knee hurts - or whether I should go to the gym or workout outside - it can go on and on. Sometimes my indecision ends up helping me because in my moment of indecision I end up making the right decision. Sometimes my indecision holds me back. I guess I don't have a good answer here - I am undecided - typical for me.

:"I have ideas, but I choose not to carry then out." That is too funny along with that show! And, I hear you!

I'm very decisive with my own choices - what to eat, what to wear, when to go somewhere. When other people ask me advice I am much less decisive. I don't want to offend.

Diane, I think many of us don't want to offend. I had no doubt you were decisive in your won life though!

I go for it! I don't think we'll be very happy or achieve much success in life if we don't make up our minds and take action. Even if we make the wrong choice, we can always learn from our mistakes and make use of that furthar on down the road.
