Meet Tony - He Lost Over 200 Pounds!!!
Wednesday, April 7, 2010 “Well, I can eat regular eggs instead of Eggland’s Best. Also, Aldi’s has a real good deal on tuna, I am going to stock up on it.” Two years ago, I am confidant that I could have been on and won The Biggest Loser. I was 5 foot 6 and 420 pounds. I waddled when I walked, I always wore an inside-out sweatshirt and I never tied my shoes. I never worked out, and ate like a mad man. I would have gone to the audition without shaving my head. I would have given them what they wanted to hear. I would have been the poor soul who could not control what he ate. The guy, who was lovable, yet looked weak. I would have made a couple of jokes and made the producer laugh. They would have seen the charm, yet a soft side. Of course, that was not I. I was a guy who was ready to lose weight. I would have been on the ranch and trained. Jillian or Bob would have yelled at me every day. Every time I would get yelled at I would smile. “Yes sir/ma’am. You are right. I need to work harder!” Each week, I would have lost a lot of weight. People would be shocked. “How did he lose that weight? He never gave that much effort!” But they would have had no idea. No idea how much I wanted it. I would have won. I would have lost over 200 pounds in the eight to ten months the show would be on. I would have taken home $250,000 and I would not have to worry about which kind of eggs to get. In two years, I lost over 200 pounds. I gained a lot of muscle, maintained the loss for over a year (something I have never been able to do), and I am able to make my friends laugh and cry on my blog and Facebook page. I have a son, one I can lift and play with every day. Truth is, if I was on The Biggest Loser, I would be writing to you now at 441 pounds. I would have never kept the weight off. Money has never motivated me. My family has.

Do any of you know Tony from Anti-Jared? He lost over 200 pounds!!!!!!!!! How did he do it - HARD WORK! He exercised, moved more & changed not only his food but his lifestyle! HE MADE A LIFESTYLE CHANGE! I think some people either love him or hate him because he is brutally honest. I like that. People often need that to face the facts. I asked Tony to guest post for me because I thought he was a great example of what can be done if you put your mind and body into it! No excuses for Tony now!
I wanted to put up Tony's post after my Tuesday post, Obesity, The Crisis, Jamie Oliver, My Feelings, because he spoke of family & being around for them. Family motivates him, he says. We need all the parents to feel this - if family motivates you, keep them healthy. Give them the tools to be healthy. Preventative measures! Let's put an end to this obesity crisis with our children & country. Let's not feed them food that leads to adult diseases & too early death. Spread the word!
THX TONY!
Please to enjoy Tony's post below & do check out his blog & Facebook page too!
The other day I was talking to my wife about saving money….

Tony is absolutely right!! So many times I watch the Biggest Loser I felt sorry for the people. While I hope all of them can keep their weight off, I don't know how its possible.
I know for me why I keep off my 60 pounds I lost is for me, not for commercials, movies, interviews or $$$.
I love Tony's story and I hope we can spread the word, what it comes down to is a lot of hard work and love for yourself.

That show teaches them how to change their life, their habits and it inspires others to change their lives too. Only two ppl a show see a big payout over it, so it's not all about the money. It's about an individual that decided they wanted change. You couldn't pay me enough to get on a scale in front of millions of people with my gut hanging out, all them knowing my medical and physical history each week. They aren't crying over losing money on that show... they cry because they see themselves transforming and when they go home and see the reaction and support of their famlies, it hits home why they need to keep that change going.
Kudos to Tony on his successful weight loss. Just like so many other people he finally made a decision to change. Everyone does it differently, so reason to put down what others have used for their springboard to weightloss success and lifestyle change.

Everyone needs to find their personal motivation. I'm glad Tony found his and has the guts to tell it how it is. No one ever lost 200 lbs. by hearing half-truths.

Tony is a longtime friend of mine. A nicer guy or better friend you couldn't meet. I am very proud of you Tony. Your determination and commitment are an inspiration not to just people struggling with weight issues but anyone trying to reach a seemingly unatainable goal in thier lives. Well done my friend, well done!

I love Tony and his blog and his facebook. He is way...more of an inspiration than the Biggest Loser. When I go to his site, I don't just read his posts, I look at his pictures. Going away to a ranch or a spa to lose weight is easy. When you throw the real day to day into the mix..now THAT shows inspiration! Money doesn't motivate me either...family does but I need to find my place in that picture.....

I'm with you...money is not what motivates me to change my body but confidence, health, and pride certainly do the trick. Congrats on your success!
