GIVEAWAY - NuNaturals Stevia Products

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

I have had trouble with Stevia in the past. Not only did it upset my stomach but I also felt I had to use a lot to get the sweetness I wanted & liked AND it left sort of an aftertaste as well. The big thing for me though was the bloating of the stomach.

Well, along comes this NuNaturals giveaway over at Yum Yucky and I WON!!!! THANK YOU Josie!!! I was excited because I really wanted to use a more natural product. I was eager to try them! To my delight & surprise, not only did I like them, I loved them! I had no trouble with my stomach. I got the sweetness I liked with a lot less product. Saying that is a big thing for me! I can use 2 Splenda packets for one cup of WATERED DOWN coffee! I did not need 2 packets of the NuNatural Stevia.

Also, if you like flavor, OMG! The NuNaturals Alcohol Free Vanilla Stevia Liquid. To die for!!!!! I love flavored coffee & especially vanilla. Well, this stuff is awesome! It is in a small bottle that can be carried with you easily to work or your fav coffee shop. It sweetens & flavors the coffee at the same time with just 5-7 droplets. Less if you don't like sweet! I also use it in oatmeal and non-fat Greek yogurt! I am sure there are ways you great cooks out there can think to use it. I am thinking on my cut up fruit, in healthy cookie recipes & more. HELP ME OUT PEOPLE!  It also comes in plain ole Stevia with no flavor!

Another great thing about NuNaturals - AMAZING customer service! I had barely just won the contest & the product was already sitting on my doorstep! For those that win contests on blogs, you probably know that the product does not always come that quickly. No experience like that here! Plus tons of info came with the package to read all about the products & their other products.... plus recipes too!

Lastly, a great replacement for sugar for those still using that stuff! According to the American Heart Association, most Americans consume 22 teaspoons of sugar A DAY! That will equal 352 more calories per day which then turns to 128, 480 calories per year or 37 pounds!!!! Sugar is hidden in so many of our foods AND DRINKS. Label read & look for words like fructose, sucrose, dextrose, maltose, corn sweetener, HFCS (of course!), maltodextrin, cane juice, molasses & more. The labels also show you the sugar grams per serving. I also heard this statistic: We consume 100 pounds of sugar for every man, woman & child per year. OK, I had to use the pic from yesterday again. It is too funny!

OK, the giveaway:

Four (4) readers will win:  one (1) package of 50 NuStevia Packets and one (1) bottle of their NEW Alcohol Free Vanilla Stevia Liquid.

Now how exciting is that!!!! FOUR winners!

Now the not so good news. This is open for US residents only. Sorry! But for those outside the US, check out their site!

How to enter:
Just comment on how you would use the Stevia products or anything else you have to say!

For a second chance to win, feel free to mention this on your blog & link back to this post. Please make a SECOND COMMENT that you mentioned this giveaway on your blog with a link back. I do that so your first comment is your first chance to win & your second comment is the second chance to win since this is a random number drawing.

Feel free to Twitter if you like. I don't have a Twitter account so I don't feel right asking for that as a third way to enter. I know, I should get one but not ready for that yet!

The contest will run through Thursday, January 14th, 6pm PST. Winners will be announced Friday, January 15, 2010.

PS: Lots of great comments yesterday! Thank you! I know I just wrote that NO post but I do want to respond to some of them. I only got to the very early ones yesterday. I will be rereading them over the next couple days cause I can learn from them too! Thx to my new commenters too! See, I struggle with the whole wanting to read & comment too! :-O

Glad you found this product that works for you and your stomach. I currently use Stevia in tea, making lemonade, sweetening all my food recipes, but would love to try this Nu-Stevia to experience the difference. Here's hoping!

Okay Jody, you have gotten my attention with this one. I am keenly interested in this, as I am trying to put away the Splenda. I will blog about this tonight and leave another comment when I do.

I never add sugar or it's various varieties to anything, but it is a ubiquitous ingredient in sooooo many products. I have yet to try Stevia. I tend to use the "pink stuff" over the blue or yellow. It's the original artificial.

I love stevia as a healthy, natural alternative to artificial sweeteners that doesn't bother my stomach like the fake sweeteners do. I'd use NuStevia in my coffee and oatmeal, and I'd mix it with water and lemon for a healthy lemonade!

My hubby loves stevia. He even has baked with it before. I scared him from artificial sweeteners

That spongebob picture still makes me laugh.

I've never tried Stevia but have read/heard such great things about it - I'm very intrigued!! Sounds like this would make a great addition to teas (since I'm not a coffee drinker!), yogurts, oats, mmmm vanilla flavored oatmeal....

I would LOVE to try Stevia!! It is the one and only thing I haven't changed over in my kitchen and cooking. Sugar. But let's face it -- Stevia is not cheap! So I'm afraid to spend the $10 on it without knowing how to use it or if I like it. I WOULD LOVE TO BECOME A STEVIA CONVERT!! Keep up the good blogging!

I have never tried Stevia of any kind. I would like to try it in oatmeal especially and also on the fruits that I dry in my dehydrator.
