1.
You all know that I LOVE to mix it up & keep my bod guessing so I want to introduce you to another abdominal exercise I have been doing for quite a while now. You are all familiar with the
stability ball crunch & this is a take on that move except the bottom of your feet are planted against a wall. I found a
video from IDEA that shows this move except the lady doing the move has her feet against a weight rack (wish I had her "rack". HA!). I use a wall. You may have to play around with the way your body fits on the stability ball but I guaranty you that this move is way harder than it looks! I do it with my hands behind my head as shown in the video as well as with my arms straight back against either side of my head and also reaching up towards the ceiling too. Sometimes I even use a light weight. You can also try an oblique crunch this way once you get the basic crunch down.... BUT be careful... the oblique one is way harder & you may want to make sure you are on a padded surface for both of these moves! :-O

I want to also bring your attention to some older posts on ab/core work with exercises that I found extremely effective & ones that I still feel to this day!
One-legged Bicycle and Ball Slap. I really like both of these! That one legged bicycle is friggin hard & really works me big time!

2.
BUTT-Busting Workout: I saw this on Dr. Oz.- I was recording the show for the anti-aging secrets (check those out too), and this workout was on there too. I say why not do this while you are watching some TV to not only work the legs & booty. If you keep yourself moving, you are going to work up a sweat & get some cardio in too! Good stuff in minimal time for the crazed holiday schedule. OR, how about this on turkey day BUT NOT ON A FULL STOMACH!

3. After Thanksgiving GIVEAWAY!!! You are not going to want to miss this one! My cousin has a company called,
madBaggage. It is an eco-friendly, vegan handbag line.  "Fashionable and green, we are PVC-Free, wherever possible, made of mostly polyurethane with coconut hardware.  All bags have turquoise linings and a reusable shopping bag inside. Our mission is to make a difference with earth friendly choices. madBaggage is a carbon balanced company. 4.

"Over 50 recipes were submitted...they are typed up...nutritional information has been analyzed...layout has been finalized... and all for only $5 with $4 being donated to the YMCA!"

Let me know what you think of the new ab move. Have you tried the other ones yet? Do you "like" them. I know, like & ab work in the same sentence!!! Check out Dr. Oz & the butt workout. I can see myself doing that for sure.... why not!

We had a stability ball until our cat got into a fight with it! It is amazing how deep those claws can go!

All kidding aside, I liked the stability ball crunches, an no, it had nothing to do with the "rack", although there was no doubt, it was strategically placed in that video. I have been doing planks for some time, and I really like them. I know, that sounds crazy, but I do. In your opinion, what benefit would I get from these crunches over planks?

Steve, I do all kinds of core/ab work. I like to keep the bod guessing. I do a lot of plank variations too... with & without the stability ball, with & without the BOSU balance trainer. I think planks work wonders so I would not give them up. I just like to do different things. I don't so this stability ball move all the time. I also so stability ball crunches with & without weights, floor crunches in way too many ways with & without weights, cable rope crunches, hanging leg raises, all kinds of reverse crunches or flat or decline leg raises. I mean I could go on forever with all the different things I do & mix it up with..

BUT, I never leave planks out.. I LOVE THEM & they work! There are too many ways to do them to count. Maybe one day I will do an all plank post!

That e-book looks awesome and I'm looking forward to downloading it. I also love those bags! Love ecofriendly stuff!

I will try the ab exercise you mentioned. I don't know what it's called but the one ab exercise I did that really kicked my butt was where you lie on the floor with knees up and feet on floor. You hold the ball and twist it like you're putting on either side of you. WOwee did that work my muscles!

Love the bag! Can't wait to check out the site. Anything eco-friendly is right up my alley.

I need to invest in a new ball(its on my xmas wish list!) but always up to try new ab exercises out. My fave one is being in the plank position with your hands shoulder length apart, your feet/shins on the ball, and you pull them up towards your chest then back to a plank....ughh! Those kick my butt, and I love it!
