Healthcare Reform Continued

I continue my series & fight for health care for all & to stop the craziness of pre-existing conditions, people that are not doctors sitting in cubicles & being trained to find ways to deny the care needed to save people's lives & to stop insurance companies from trying to cover as little as possible. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP! Why are we are letting people die in this country for lack of affordable & fair healthcare. Why are people with cancer dieing due to non-availability of care. Why are people losing their home & life trying to pay for health care. This should not be so. I even think this newest bill is NOT enough! It is a sell out to me!
If you have been reading on Sundays, I have had 3 other posts with great information & heart wrenching stories. Here are the links to those posts:

Risk AIDS or Health Insurance?: Rape Victim Deemed Uninsurable For Seeking Treatment for Rape
"For Turner paying for private insurance was impossible. It would cost more than her monthly rent so she went without coverage for nearly three years. In doing so, she was forced to pay for her counseling, anti-depressants, and any other medical treatments on her own – all because she sought treatment for being raped."

Man Joins Army to Save Wife's Life - It's All About the Health Care
"Imagine for a moment being laid off from your job of 20 years and losing medical coverage for your family. Then imagine that your wife, stricken with ovarian cancer, is fighting for her very life. What would you do?Faced with that very scenario, Bill Caudle took the only option left to him. He enlisted in the Army to take advantage of the health insurance, which kicked in once he left for basic training. Mr. Caudle, at 39 years-old, is now obligated to the Army for the next 4 years. A few years ago it couldn’t have happened, but in recent years the enlistment age has been raised to 42."

Uninsured: A Personal Price
"My mother died because she didn't have health insurance. She was in her late fifties when all six of us grown kids were told that she had gone to the emergency room in extreme pain. The doctors and nurses didn't even need to test her blood or run a scan to diagnose her." "We know that prevention pays off. In the debate over health care, I want to hear louder the cry of those who understand that we all need preventative care paid for in order to save the system billions and to make it work."

Here is my suggestion, take away health insurance from all the people in Congress & the House of Representatives against REAL healthcare reform and then make them go out & try to buy their own. I wonder if those against healthcare reform would change their tune. I bet they would!

They are terrible stories! Thank you for continuing to bring them to light. I hope you see some changes in your health care system.

The strong headlines on these linked stories are enough for me. I might get too mad or upset if I click. Ugh.
