Ab Work, 1440, PB Cookie Dough & More!!!!
I remember last time I did one of these odds & ends post with lots of mini info, everyone seemed to like it so here we go again! Hope you enjoy this one too!
(1) Ab/Core Exercise - Jackknife from Shape September Issue:

Ah, a new way to work the bod! I am always on the lookout for ab/core work as I like to keep it changing. As you can see, you hold a stability ball between your legs & hands. From this point, lower the opposite arm & leg within a few inches of the floor. The other hand is holding the stability ball to the raised leg. Raise the leg & arm & perform the next repetition with the opposite arm & leg. If this is too hard, don't lower your leg so close to the floor and/or keep both hands on the ball.
I also want to remind you of this ab exercise just in case you did not try it because it is HARD! Check out this old post. Scroll down to the second exercise for the ab/core move.
AND..... if you have a stability ball at home, have you tried planks with your feet on the ball & your hands on a step if you have stairs in the house. Also try this with your hands on step 2. OR, balance your arms on the ball like here (3rd pic down) & put your feet on the step!!!! AH! Hard!
(2) Protein Peanut Butter Cookie Dough: OK, I saw this in Oxygen Women's Fitness and a reader offered this up. Mix one scoop of vanilla protein powder with just enough water to get a doughy consistency. Blend in 1 tablespoon of all natural peanut butter & enjoy. I can think of lots of stuff to do with this yummy mixture!
(3) 1440: Also from Oxygen Women's Fitness. 1440 is the number of minutes in every day. Can you reserve 30 to 60 minutes of them for exercise? If you reserve 60, you still have 1,380 left to work on you! Check out MizFit's post yesterday on this! Also, check out my quote of the week on my sidebar.
(4) I know many of you LOVE yard/garage sales. Here is a website to help you find them:Yard Sale Treasure Map.
(5) Meeting Someone?: How about a website that helps you find a aplce to meet in-between you & your friend. I always have probs with that especially if neither of us know the surrounding area between my house & the friend's house .... a.placebewteen.us. Let's you even choose type of activity like coffee meet or dinner meet & so on!
(6) If you missed yesterday's post, check it out for candy that meets any number of requirements: Vegan, organic, fair trade, gluten free, non-allergenic, kosher and Feingold.

Hah! A fitting post right after turkey day. Good stuff. This one is real similar to the ab conditioning we do in gymnastics, but it's done at a much faster pace.
*brain block* Wow, I can't even remember the name right now. Anyways, it's fucking brutal (In my world that's a good thing).

I think I could actually try that exercise with the ball. The looks kinda doable. At least until I try it!
I do love these kind of posts. I'm excited to check out the yard sale link. I'm an avid yard sale junkie!
Hope your day is wonderful Jody.

Ugh. Haven't worked out in a week due to a cold. I'm over it now, but boy, can I feel the difference after missing a week. Even had a few headaches, but I'm back on it tomorrow.
