Live for Today!

Sunday, August 2, 2009

I originally had this post set to be titled, "Feel Good Post", but after reading on Feed Me I'm Cranky about Jen's mother from Prior Fat Girl, I decided to rename it to the above not only because of what the poem says below but in honor and memory of Jen's mom and all loved ones we have lost.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
Love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy.
They just promised it would be worth it.

Friends are like balloons.

Once you let them go, you can't get them back.
So I'm gonna tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

This was sent to me by a friend. It was one of those emails you are supposed to forward on but I just wanted to share it with you all out there. We all need some "life words" now & then. Feel free to send on to your friends/family if you want to.  I LOVE that pic too!

As a surgeon, I've treated too many victims of cars and their "drivers." I would support any laws that would make driving, and cars safer for all of us.

Great poem. I always find myself reflecting on this when times like these hit, but then fall back into my normal life. I hope this time it sticks!

Thx all for your kind comments.

Dr. J, that sure would be good to have better laws.

She-Fit, you are so right. We do go back to normal after reflection too often. Let's try to keep some of that with us this time!
