Cherry Green Tea Smoothie
Well, most of us have read & heard about the many benefits of green tea.. everything from fighting cancer to fighting heart disease. Read more about this from this article at WebMD, Green Tea Health Benefits. You can even search more articles here.Anyway, I saw this recipe for a Cherry Green Tea Smoothie in Oxygen Women's Fitness & thought I would share it with you. Since I am not a fan of tea & would still like to get the benefits of it, I might just try this out to see if it masks that tea taste. I think it might!!! Check out the recipe below:
CHERRY GREEN TEA SMOOTHIE - Makes 2 servings
1 cup green tea
1 cup frozen cherries
1 cup 2% Greek yogurt
1 cup soy protein powder
Put all ingredients in a blender & blend until smooth.

Of course, you can change this up to suit your own taste buds like changing the fruit in it, using non fat yogurt vs. the low fat yogurt or using your own type of protein powder. ENJOY!

I gotta be honest. This recipe intimidates me a tad. My healthy-living-o-meter hasn't quite attained the heights of green tea and Greek yogurt.
But it does look yummy and I bet it is!

I'm not a smoothy person (I like to chew food), but it sounds pretty yummy to me.

Mask? More like overwhelm completely! Green tea has a very mild flavor, so I don't see how you'd taste the tea in this. (Which I guess is a good thing for you, ain't it Jody?)
I'll still have my tea the proper way. >
