I Need Your Help plus Recipe Makeovers

Monday, June 8, 2009

Well, since there are so many health & fitness blogs out there, I thought I would ask for your advice & preferences. When I first started blogging, all my posts were workout related. This means that I posted only about workouts, help with workouts & healthy recipe makeovers. Over time, I have changed my focus to add in different types of posts from self-worth, cancer fighting articles, "mental" health & more. In addition, since I am not the most adept writer, I tend to find articles that better explain my point of view since getting the thoughts from my brain to computer does not always compute .... meaning what I was thinking does not quite get to the post the same way.

So, I am asking my readers if they prefer the strictly workout related posts or do they like the mix of different subject matter. Also, do you want more healthy recipe makeovers that I find out & about AND do you mind that I sometimes post articles to explain my point of view along with my own "crudely written" posts. No english major here!!! Not like Feed Me I'm Cranky that is an English major & a great writer!

Anyway, throw your thoughts my way!
Looking forward to hearing from you on what you want to hear from me!!!

In the meantime, here are a couple recipe makeovers!

i like the variety or workout, fitness, health, fun and personal stuff. i notice that some blogs that are unilaterial and only focus on ONE thing, i lose interest in fast, because they don't show personality, ya know? i like getting to know the blogger, not just the plethra of knowledge they can jot down.

I like the variety myself. And I enjoy your writing very much Jody! To be honest, I scan the posted articles, but rarely read them in their entirety unless they are strongly related to something going on in my life at that moment. But when it is your writing, I read every single word! I love blogging because of the freedom to just type out your thoughts and not have to wordsmith to perfection. So even if you think it is "crudely written", your writing would be my preference over a post from someone else.

Oh Jody! Being an English major doesn't make me a good writer, it just makes me a blabber mouth! Your writing style is great! I love reading your blogs and no matter what you post my favorite part is ALWAYS when YOU give your 2 cents! I love reading your opinion on matters and your personal experiences! I love getting insight into your life and your health choices. I think variety is key in terms of your topics and you have been doing a wonderful job so far! Can't wait to try the chicken tacos. I don't know why I never thought to put apple in tacos, but it sounds amazing! Have a wonderful day!

I think the beauty of blogging is that you get to write about whatever you wish and that choice gives us insight into who you are! So as long as you are writing about what you enjoy then that's what I want to hear about!
