Toned Arms for Sleeveless Tops
Warmer weather is a coming & as we all know, we don't get results overnight. We have to plan ahead for weight loss & toned bodies. We all like our arms to look great whether we are covering them or not. I always hear women complaining about that "stuff" hanging on the back of the arms which are called our triceps. Women and men alike want to see tight and toned arms when we look in the mirror. There are so many exercises you can do for this body part. Right now, I want to share an article from Oxygen Women's Fitness Magazine. See the link at the end of my post. If you do not belong to a gym, use some exercise bands you have at home or any water bottles, canned goods, bags of sugar or whatever you can find that provides the appropriate weight resistance. If you only have one item to use, do the exercises one arm at a time or if the item is too heavy use both hands to do the exercise. When using the bands, do attach them to a sturdy object that will not move or break.
Also, I want to make note of the lying tricep extension picture. I am short & I like to put my feet up on the bench so I don't get that over extended arch in my back. I do this with all my flat bench exercises.... feet up & planted on the bench. If you don't have a bench at home, try a coffee table & put a mat or towel on it.... OR if you have a large swiss exercise ball, you can substitute that for a bench. Just be careful! In addition, if you happen to have the step & risers at home like they use in a step class, that is a great workout bench & you can even incline it with the risers placed at an angle. Just make sure they do not move & are hooked in solidly.
I have many more exercises I do for arms. I wanted to start here to show the picture of the incline bench because tomorrow I am going to post about some great exercises for the biceps, triceps, shoulders & chest that all can be done using this incline bench (or your other pieces of equipment at home). These are exercises that some of you may not have heard about so check back tomorrow! CHANGE IS GOOD WHEN EXERCISING! Keep that bod guessing!

Love the post. Can't wait for tomorrow's. I love cut arms. Before my wedDing I was so obsessed and it has never left. The more cut the better. I never did these on an incline before. But since I am short as well, I will be sure to bend my knees. Thanks

Like you, I love cut arms! Lower body fat shows them more as we all know. Hard work!
The bending of knees is for the flat bench. On the incline bench, you should be OK with your feet being able to touch the ground in a seated position. Also try a straight or EZ bar tricep extension (or dumbbells)on the incline bench but stand up & lay against the inclined bench.. incline it all the way back.

so you mean put in a position like if I were going to do an ab incline? Describing exercises is so hard isn't it? Visuals, like you had today are so much better.

Well, yes, if my thoughts on what an ab incline is the same as yours. In this case, you are straddling the incline bench with both your feet on the ground on either side but your back leaning against the incline portion of the bench. Your head is at the top or even somewhat off. From this point, use a bar or dumbbells to do the tricep move. Hope this helps. It is hard to explain. If I can find a pic, I will post it on my site.
