Get Results from the Scale & Mirror - Mix it Up!

Most of us know that the body needs change to improve & for us to see increasing results from our diet & exercise program. I can't tell you how many people tell me they don't do resistance exercise because it bores them ... OR, the people that tell me they are not losing weight & when I ask about their routine, they are doing the same thing day in & day out both with cardio, weights & food. I see them at the gym too. The lady or guy that looks the same year after year but I see them doing the exact same thing, in the same order & I can almost tell where they will be at any one point in time.
I am not an expert by any means but I have been working at this weight/fitness/health stuff for a long time. As I have said before, I have done it wrong but I learned from my mistakes. Now every body is different & what works for me may not work for you but I do know this... CHANGE IS GOOD AND NECESSARY! The body is smart so you need to change up your exercise routine every few weeks or so. This means both cardio & weights. I admit, when I was younger, it was not as apparent the need to do this but as I got older, holy cow, it became very apparent! I must also admit that if I had changed things more when I was younger, I most likely would have had better results. I am in better shape now than in my younger years. I actually make some sort of change to every workout but I have been at this a long time so my body needs more to see results & with hormone changes... well, need I say more!
Change can be applied to your food program too. If you have been following me for a while, I have posted many times about how the body changes as we age.. from our 20's to our 30's to our 40's and more! Women have the added issue of hormone changes. BUT, both men & women need to "listen" to their body & if things are not working or you are looking for improved results, make changes to get there! I have had to tweak my food program all thru the years & it is even more important now with hormone changes. I can't tell you how important food is to getting the results you want... very important! If you are stagnated, take a good look at your food program.
