I will be honest with you, I am not a sushi fan. BUT, I know many of you out there love sushi so I thought I should share this article with you from Diet Detective. The article points out the pros and cons to sushi along with explaining some of these new menu items chefs make to create "more interesting choices these days to satisfy consumer curiosity and demand for innovative culinary treats. Shrimp tempura roll: 544 calories, 13g fat, 75g carbs
Philadelphia roll (salmon, cream cheese, avocado): 319 calories, 5g fat, 30g carbs
Spider roll (fried soft shell crab): 317 calories, 12g fat, 38g carbs
California roll: 266 calories, 8.5g fat, 36g carbs

. I am sure it will be an eye opener for you! In addition, keep in mind that sushi tends to be small pieces so we end up overeating. We figure the pieces are smaller so we can eat more & then before you know it, you have downed a day's worth of calories in one meal not to mention sodium & fat content!!!!
