Full Body Workout and Lunchtime Food Help

Wednesday, February 25, 2009

I had all intentions of writing a different post today & then my Shape "e" newsletter came this morning. Before I forgot or delayed this post longer, I wanted to share it with you.

We all need help with suggestions on not only new exercises to keep our body guessing but I think it is also important to provide you with things you can do at home, travel or in the gym. This particular circuit training link I am going to share with you points out that it is a great at home routine. Don't forget that you can do it while traveling or bring it to the gym & even make modifications with weights or cables to make it different. See how you can work yourself out anywhere here: Full Body Circuit Workout

In addition, this same newsletter had an informative article on swap outs at lunch (or breakfast or dinner depending on what you eat at those meals) to help you save calories. Many of them are common sense but we don't always think this way. For example, exchange mayo for mustard on sandwiches. Saves a lot of calories. Me, I use mustard on all kinds of things like veggies, in my extra lean turkey meatloaf (or meatballs), in tuna fish, on chicken breasts and more. Get creative! I know the article mentions staying away from honey mustard but I have found some good hot/sweet mustards that have vinegar, mustard, honey & a bit of sugar. I just work that in to my calorie count. Read labels though because some of them do not have as "clean" ingredients as others. BE A LABEL READER! Read other swap outs here: Calories Savers/Swap Outs
