Buns of Steel; Protein Bar; Natural Sweeteners; Healthy Baking Tips

Buns of Steel - The past couple posts have provided you with a lot of different glute exercises & some that work the legs too. I wanted to also mention that I love using a cable cuff on the cable machine at the gym to work my inner/outer thighs and my butt. This provides a great burn & the non-working leg gets work too by you just standing on it to stabilize the body while you work the other leg. Also, here is a link to some exercises you can do at home or on the road. Home Glute Exercises from Fitness. Don't miss the link at the end of each page because there are beginner, intermediate & advanced exercises. The prone hip extension can be done on the floor too.
Protein Bar - My post yesterday provided a recipe for a homemade protein bar. I wanted to mention that I have made both the "tube" shaped bar (in the tin foil) and the "cupcake tin version". Give both a try to see what you like best. I also did not mention that I have made a batch where I cut back on the chopped almonds & added in some ground flax seed which is great for you. Experiment & see what you like but do remember that the nutritional info will change as you change your ingredients.
Natural Sweeteners and healthy baking tips - Many if us are confused by all the artificial sweeteners & now natural sweeteners out there like Stevia, Truvia and more. What is good for us & what is not. What are all these new products about & what do they taste like. I think we all should do our own research but Hungry Girl did answer one of her readers about just this subject. I have tried Stevia but my body could not digest it that well. I had bloating "and more" from it so you may have to experiment with these natural products yourself. In this same post from Hungry Girl, she also answered a reader question about how to swap out oil & eggs for applesauce & egg whites in baking recipes. Check out her answers to both subjects here: Hungry Girl Answers
Let me know if you have had any experiences with natural sweeteners, any recipe makeovers or any buns of steel exercises you want to share with other readers!
