Fat Busting Tips

Now, back to fat busting tips. My post on February 6th discussed how intervals can really blast fat and burn more calories in a shorter amount of time. Also, the effects of that calorie burn continue after the workout is over! In another study from the University of Virginia, they established that "women who regularly did high-intensity workouts (where they were breathing hard) had significantly less belly flab at the end of a 4 month period than exercisers who always worked at an easier level - even though both groups burned the same number of calories." The study results mentioned that pushing yourself may increase a hormone that helps burn fat postexercsie. It also states that "ab flab" may be an area that really benefits from high intensity exercise.
Now, saying all this, I want to remind you all that high intensity exercise and intervals are tough stuff & beginners should have at least a couple months of working out under their belt before trying this. Get your body accustomed to exercise & then start experimenting with new things. If you can afford a trainer, hire one to help you through the learning curve OR maybe split a few sessions with a friend. Many trainers will allow this for the same hourly rate.
From personal experience, I can tell you that high intensity & intervals do work. Especially as I got older & my hormones fought me more, the change to adding in intervals/high intensity helped me keep weight off & even lose some body fat too! I do eat very well & clean most of the time so DO NOT forget your food plan. That will also have a huge impact on reduced body fat & weight loss. Just don't eat too few calories or too little fat or you will sabotage yourself! In additions, do weight/resistance training. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest!

Great post! I tried some intervals yesterday and although it was a hard workout I felt better afterwards.
